A/N: KingMercury254, here's one of the most common descendants of the saber-toothed tigers that roamed the tundra regions of Magnus. These felines are the supreme predators of imperial mammoths and large prey and made these creatures became one of Lincoln's favorite animals.

Name: Blade-toothed tiger

Scientific name: Ferrudon gladios

Name meaning: Bladed tooth

Type: Mammal

Diet: Carnivore

Family: Felidae

Preferred habitat: Boreal forests, mountainous and tundra regions.

Homeworld: Magnus

Social structure: Social. Ferrudons lived in prides, just like lions and other saber-toothed tigers on Magnus. One or two males, sometimes even up to four, which are usually brothers dominate over several females and their cubs. The males guard their territory from rival males, which are known as rogues without prides by roaring and patrolling their territory: scent-marking trees, bushes and rocks by spraying urine. Females, usually sisters, offspring and kin tend to remain in the pride all their lives. Males born into a pride are usually driven away by the dominant male when they reach adulthood, so they can leave and claim their own prides elsewhere. Doing so prevents competition and inbreeding within a pride.

Preferred habitat: Mountainous areas and tundra regions.

Status: Least Concern.

Bio: The Ferrudon is one of the descendants of the infamous Smilodon, aka, the saber-toothed tiger and these predatory felines are the natural predators of the mammoths and large prey. Their name means bladed tooth. They lived in prides similar to that lions back on Earth. Their teeth are three times sharper and longer than their ancestors and can pierce through the thickest of hide. Like lions on Magnus and Earth, the males of the species have manes while the females don't. The Ferrudons are very patient predators and they could stalk their prey for several days at a time. When tackling larger prey such as imperial mammoths and other large herbivores, these saber-toothed cats will look for a weak spot and then expose it. They are also highly intelligent and very cunning, able to maneuver largest prey. The Ferrudons also competes with other predators, including the beowolves, which it's their natural enemy. These large felines roaming the tundra regions and mountainous regions of Magnus.
