She looked outside and saw him. Under the rain, he waved to her, smiling. They have been waiting for a long time for that day. She putted her shoes on and ran outside, she couldn't care less about the rain. He was there. When she arrived in front of him, she jumped in his arms and cried. He mumbled something and she hugged him tighter. They stood up there for a while. Both would remember that day for their whole life, just as they were remembering all their promises and all their words on that hot, rainy, summer afternoon. And they knew... It would last for a long, long time. It was a relief for them to finally be together. Finally, they looked at each other and were able to see it in their eyes. They went under the little roof outside of her house and they sat there. Hand in hand, next to each other, her head on his shoulder, they stayed there, silent, without saying a single word until the night fell and they were in peace. They finally had that missing part. They were happy and they didn't have to talk to know what the other was thinking or feeling because they were simply connected. You would have been there and you would have seen all of that. You would have understood everything. You would have seen how important and meaningful it was to the two of them. They simply... each other and they were enjoying it.
