Date: July 4, 1943

Location: Pearl Harbor

Time: 8:15 am

It's been five days since the combined American-Japanese fleet arrived at Pearl Harbor. Over these days some of the girls as well as a handful of curious Eagle Union navy personnel went to visit the dormant warships. Despite the attack four weeks ago everyone had paused working on the numerous damaged ships and begun getting ready for 4th of July. Fireworks had been shipped in from the main land and Nevada, Oklahoma, and several navy cooks were hard at work to prepare breakfast as well as preparing the ingredients needed to make lunch and dinner. All of the Eagle Union ships and naval personnel were excited to celebrate the anniversary of their factions independence. While most were making last minute preparations for an entire day of celebration they're were a few who were still working.

Inside Commander Jon's Office

Inside of Commander Jon's office Commander Jon, Captain James, Captain Joseph, Captain Ren, and Captain Jiro were discussing how to supply their warships.

Captain James's ship could use some of the spare parts of Iowa and New Jersey. However this is a stopgap measure since most of Montana's equipment is more advanced than Iowa's and has not yet been fully developed by Eagle Union. In order to get spare parts for Montana James's ship would have to be sent to the west coast. There researchers could study his ship's equipment and make blueprints of them so that they could be manufactured.

Captain Joseph's ship would need to go with James's ship since his is so technologically advanced compared to an Essex carrier that Midway couldn't use any of the Essex class spare parts. Midway could use some of the spare planes that the Essex class use however this would lower Midway's airpower since her planes are pretty much better in every way. Aside from needing all of her tech to be studied and manufactured she needs to donate a few of her planes so that they could be mass produced.

As for Captain Ren and Captain Jiro's ships, they would also have to tag along. Jon suggested that the A-150 could be retrofitted with new AA guns as well as better AA directors so that she wouldn't be as vulnerable to aircraft attacks. Captain James also suggested that both A-150 and Yoshino should have a target calculating computer as well as a better radar installed. If they received these upgrades they could aim better and detect where their shells landed. However the main reason for them needing to tag along is that IJN A-150's and IJN Yoshino's ammunition and main guns would be need to be studied so that they could be manufactured.

"I think we can all agree that your going to have to visit California." Jon stated "I'll inform the California Naval Commander that you'll be arriving in a couple of days. Hopefully he will set you up with everything you need while his technicians have a field day studying your ships."

"Thank you Jon" replies Captain Joseph. "We really appreciate everything your doing for us."

"Your welcome Captain. Its apart of my job to make sure every ship has what they need. Anyways you'll be leaving as soon as the holiday is over and head straight for Newport. To guarantee that you reach Newport safely I will assign Savannah, Brooklyn, Cleveland, Laffey, Javelin, and Hornet to escort you."

A few minutes later the four Captains arrived back at their ships. While they were away the crews of the American warships have already begun to decorate their ships with what little they have. This continued until noon when lunch was ready. Nevada, Oklahoma, and the rest of the cooks had prepared hotdogs. After lunch a few of ship girls and Eagle Union personnel asked some of the American and Japanese sailors if they wanted to participate in the afternoon activities. There was a relay race, corn hole, ultimate frisbee, a chess competition and even a show down between each ship's color guard. Soon a group a curious carriers boarded USS Midway. Once they reached the flight deck they immediately head towards a Bearcat fighter.
