"I promise," she said, her voice shaking, "I vow to you that I will bring you back to who you were."

"Mikage."

"My love..."

"Cursed One?"

"Whatever the cost."

"Mikage," a voice called, and two green eyes looked up from their book while taking out an earbud. A white-haired man waved with a smile while humming "Yoo hoo" to get her attention. "Is it not a bit late to drink coffee?"

Furrowing her eyebrows slightly, Mikage regarded the man in front of her. She recognized his clothing as something close to the standard Sorcerer attire of someone higher up. The unreasonably black tinted sunglasses threw her off, as the city had become dark an hour ago. But the energy radiating off him was unmistakable, giving him away within seconds. "Six Eyes, what brings you to me?" Mikage said plainly, storing away the earbuds.

The man in front of Mikage looked surprised at her, "how did you know all of that?"

"I know everything the dark knows," Mikage answered, taking a sip of her coffee with a sly smile. "I know that you've been reading the locked books; I know you know things that you shouldn't."

Mikage put her coffee cup down and put on a more serious face, "now, I will not ask again, what brings you to me, Satoru Gojo?"

Satoru took his sunglasses off and laid them on the table as he leaned forward. "I want to change Jujutsu Sorcery."

Mikage raised an eyebrow, "that's a tall order. What do you want to give me?"

"A soul for lasting change, I offer The King of Curses, Sukuna."

Silence. Mikage paused, the coffee cup halfway to her lips. "What is your game?" She lowered the cup to the table, and Satoru raised his hands in surrender.

"Victory doesn't happen in a day; I'm looking towards the future, not at the now," Satoru smiled, "and I know from the books that you two have some connection. It doesn't go into much detail about your relationship with him."

Mikage quirked up an eyebrow, "so, in exchange for something I want, you just want me to help you, then."

"Yes, I need backing from one of the most powerful Sorcerers ever to exist. You are the only one who doesn't play by the rules, so what do you say?" Satoru held out a hand, and Mikage glanced down at it judgmentally.
