The next morning, I walked around the temple, attempting to find even the slightest trace of Arcus. When I was alone, I always had troublesome thoughts and notions. If Iris was suffering or anything was wrong with my family, I would take the fastest horse back into the city. My mind changed the subject quickly, afraid of the worst possible situation. I thought about Arcus, October, and Beau instead. My predicament with the three was interesting I admit, but what was the outcome of all of this? Was I supposed to marry Arcus as our parents intended? Or would I marry Beau as I had promised? I didn't know much about October, but he was most intriguing and clever man I had ever met. If I had to choose the three, it would most likely be him. Yet, I didn't have a sliver of information on him other than the fact that his mother had a lover--his late father--before he was murdered in a dispute. October was born with a black father and a white mother.
