I got discharged out of the hospital ten months later. I went home two days after that. When I got home my family and friends threw a welcome home party. It was awesome! After all the food, drinks, and presents my family and I went to the airport. "Why are we here mommy?" I asked my mom.
"Well your daddy is going away."
"For a week?"
"No."
"For a month?"
"No honey."
"Forever???"
"Yes."
So after my mom told me what was going on I said goodbye to my dad. "Bye daddy!;(" I said while crying. "I am going to miss you sweetie. But I will visit." When that happened I wondered,
"Is it because I'm bald?"
"Is it because I am too hard to take care of?"
"Is it because of all the trips that I have to take?"
I didn't know at the time ( because I was seven ) but now I know it wasn't because of me. It was he didn't like Kodiak.
