CHAPTER 1
"Nick, you ready to present?" Nikolai was startled from his thoughts by my friend Lilly. Lilly was a year younger than him, but he shared the same Spanish class.
"Fuck is that today?" He groaned placing his face in his hands.
"Yea, are you not prepared?" She asked tilting her head. It was unuasaly for Nick to be unprepared for class. He usually was overly prepared.
"I am, i just dont wanna." He looked at his friend smiling, but Lilly, who has known him since grade school, could see the exhaustion through his little smile.
"Did you pull an all nighter?" Lilly asked. She squinted examining his face taking mental notes of his prominant eyebags, unshaved stubble, and drool remnants on his face.
"Yea, i had a trig assignment that i procrastinated on." nick sighed remembering his rough night of trying to focus on his assignments while his younger siblings kept running into his room and his mom leaving for a late night hook up with her boy friend.
"Did you mom meet up with dave again?" lilly rolled her eyes. Dave was Nicolais mothers boyfriend. To put it simply, Dave was a douchebag dick. He checked all the requirments for a white raciest redneck.
"How'd you know." Nick mumbled sarcastically. "She wasnt even home to take the tiny people to school." his eyes realized in realization. "Fuck i need to check if they made it to school safely." he said angry at himself for forgetting about his siblings.
"Dude, that shouldnt be your job. You literally a full time working mom." lilly said half jokingly and half seriously.
"Well, who else is going to do it? My dad?" he scoffed at the mention of the man who walked out on his family because "they were boring".
"Well i mean, your mom needs to start taking more responsibility. She acts like a 21 year old that finally got her hands on aclaholl legally."
"But-"
"Silencio clase, escriba su nombre en la pizarra en el orden que desee. comenzaremos las presentaciones en diez minutos" Senior Smith announced silencing the entire class into whispers or shuffling of papers and bags.
"The fuck did he just say?" Lilly asked scrunching her nose.
"He said to write our names on the bored which will determine the order we go in and that presentations will start in ten minutes." he paused for a minuete looking at lilly. "How long have you been taking spanish?"
"Two years is the requirement." she shrugged. "I have to at least just get a c or above. I get Ds on the quizzes, basically fail the tests, do all my homework, suck up to the teacher and bam. I have a c." She grins triuphitly.
"Uh.. go off i guess." Nick laughed at his friend.
"SILENCIO" Senior Smith boomed.
Nick and Lilly looked at eachother holding in their laughter.

"Hey wait up" Lilly whined dragging the 'uh' in up.
"Its those short legs, you should do that surgery where they break your shins then put implants in to make you taller." Nick teased.
"Well... Fuck you." Lilly huffed.
"Looky there. Its Mason!" he pointed at a figure standing with two others.
"Oh yeaa! Oh look Cam and Jena are also there!" Lilly squealed.
"Not to loud please." Nick winced covering his ears.
"Oops, sorry." Lilly smiled guiltily.
"Nah your good." he hit lilly softly, SOFTLY, on her head.
"UGGGH my hair." She brought her fingers to her hair fixing the strays that nick brought on.
"Look its the shorties!" Cameron exclaimed running over to give nick and lilly a hug.
"Hiii cam cam!" Lilly sang while pushing away from his death grip.
"Masoonnn" Lilly continued with her sing song voice. "Wheres my greeting?" She crossed her arms with a disappointed mom look on her face.
"My bad lil'" He chuckled. Mason was the tallest in the group while lilly was the shortest so he had to bend down signicantly to reach her hight.
"Eeeeeee" lilly squealed, but covered her mouth half wayfor nicks sake, as mason picked her up and twirled her around.
Nick, who was still being embraced by cam, wiggled out of his hug to go greet mason.
"Mase, you should put her down before she pukes." Nick laughed out.
Masons eyes got wide and stoped spinning to set the squealing girl down.
"Awwww." lilly pouted while sitting in the grass with her head rolling in circles as she tried to center her self again.
"Hey nicky!" he deep voice shook nick a bit but he snapped out of it while mason went to give him a hug.
"I havent seen you in forever!" mason said hugging him tighter.
"Its been a week!" nick laughed
"Youve havent been able to hangout because of your imcompetent ass mother." mason groaned
"Hey!" nick smacked mason on his head " be nice." nick scolded.
"But she iiss-" mason was cut off by lilly throwing up.
"Oh Shit!"
