  "It's okay. It's okay. We're all okay." Darius said.

   I looked at Bolt and asked, "You okay to battle if needed?" He nodded and I jumped in the pen.

  "Find a way out and we'll distract them." I said, not taking my eyes off the raptors.

  "Kenji, those bones-- check for a raptor skull." Darius said.

  "What?" Kenji asked confused.

  "In the video game, I--" Darius explained.

  "You wanna talk about video games now?" Kenji shouted.

    The dino screeched, scaring Darius and he fell. Darius and Kenji stayed backed up against the gate and Bolt and I stood in front of them.

   "Easy girls, everything is ok," I said in a gentle voice, "I'm not going to let anyone hurt you and if you're just hungry I can find something for you to eat."

  The dinosaurs seemed to calm down a bit. I kept talking to them and it was working.

"Rayleigh, what the heck are you doing?" Darius asked and yelled.

"Keeping them calm, it worked most of the time."

All the lights turned on suddenly, blinding the dinosaurs.

"Hey, come and get it!" We heard Roxie yell. Three dinosaurs screeched and ran off but the blue one stayed.

"No!" I shouted and went back to a calm but stern voice, "Hey you're ok. They aren't going to hurt you."

"Get out of there!" Roxie yelled.

  I had to back up and had Bolt get back on my shoulder slowly. The dinosaurs were more agitated, and I knew it would be risky to calm one.

  I felt the hood of my hoodie get yanked back. When they let go I saw Dave. He pulled Kenji and Darius out and one of them grabbed me. Bolt held on tight so at least he didn't fall. Then a bunch of cars pulled up and a bunch of people ran into the pen.

"Secure the paddock!"

"Move!"

The four of us and Dave are all panting. I didn't realize I was holding my breath.

"Dave, that was..." Darius started, "Thank you so much."

"Oh, that's standard procedure, Darius. I do that kind of stuff all the time. Give me a second." Dave then turned away and threw up. "That's better."

"Aw come on!" I sighed

Roxie ran over and pushed Dave. "Are you hurt? Is everyone all right?"

"I almost had it! They were getting calmer and I actually was doing it! And if not, I could have fought them." I said a bit upset.

"You could have died and that's what you're worried about?" Roxie asked.

  "Yeah, I was so close," I sighed and looked at the pen. Bolt squeaked trying to cheer me up.

Kenji tried to walk away.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Where do you think you're going? You, Darius, and Rayleigh are in big trouble." Roxie pulled him back.

  "I- But he-- he was--" Darius tried to explain.
