MLB BETS FOR 5/19/22

NEW YORK YANKEES AT BALTIMORE ORIOLES

This should be a pretty easy pick. The Orioles' best defender at the start of the season was the left field wall. And all three of my colleagues say that this is the Yankees' World Series to lose. New York is off on their third-best start in franchise history, and while the O's have been better this season than last, we can safely assume who the likely winner is. Give me New York on this one.

SAN DIEGO PADRES AT PHILADEPHIA PHILLIES

This one isn't as easy as the last. This Philly team is honestly hard to read. They're one of the hottest teams in the league right now, aside from the Yankees and Astros, and they've taken down top-tier opponents lately, such as almost sweeping the LA Dodgers and putting up a nice fight against the New York Mets. Meanwhile, San Diego's all over the place. They were 1 run away from being swept by the Chicago Cubs. And if you're new to baseball, that's a pretty tall task. However, they have 5 more wins than the Phillies, and they have faced much taller tasks. However, I'm gonna go with the upset here and take the Phillies at home.

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS AT NEW YORK METS

Harder than it seems. New York is a much-improved team, and I know that they can take out St. Louis with ease, but this isn't 2001 anymore. And plus, Max Scherzer is out with an injury. Even with this happening, I still have the Mets pulling out the victory here. Why? It's simple. The Cardinals just aren't cutting it right now. I wanna take them, but I'm making a cautious decision not to. Give the Mets some slack, they've been loving in 2001 for a while now.

CINCINNATI REDS AT CLEVELAND GUARDIANS

Oh how memes can come and go. Can we actually get those back, please? The fact that the reds were able to go 3-21 at the start is absolutely hilarious. I also am crying on the inside as I was once a fan of this squad. #SellTheTeamBob Oh yeah, the game. All bias aside, I'm giving the win to Cleveland here due to a lack of not being 3-21. If there's any game here you really shouldn't bet for, though, it'd be this one. It's hard to predict this match. Always a struggle.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX AT KANSAS CITY ROYALS

On paper, this looks like an easy match to win for Chicago. I mean, this team made it to the posteason last year. How can they be bad? Well, this series has been aa defensive affair, with each team going over no more than 5 runs (as on 10:55 P.M. on May 18th) You know why Chicago lost? The defense. And they lost to Kansas City twice in a row, why  not make it three, right?

SEATTLE MARINERS AT BOSTON RED SOX

How are the Red Sox not doing well? They're one of the best franchises in sports history, recently got Trevor Story and was able to keep Chris Sale. So what's up with this Boston squad and winning? This just doesn't make sense. Now, the Mariners, we all can say that this team hasn't really improved much. I mean, they're keeping up with the rest of the bottom feeders in the AL West (everyone but the angels and astros), but that most likely won't be playoff-worthy. They need something big. Theyhave similar records, but there's one big thing I've noticed that's different between these two teams. Boston isn't good in Boston. Boston will be playing in Boston. Give me the Mariners and don't you dare say that this was biased.

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS AT CHICAGO CUBS

Holy crap! My Diamondbacks... they're... they're... they're average! They're actually average!! I mean it's a shame that we're getting crapped on this game, but who cares? We're average! I'm joking. These teams are average, but we're in Chicago. The Cubs suck at their home stadium. Give me my D-Backs for the win.

TEXAS RANGERS AT HOUSTON ASTROS

Last game of the night, and we have what looked like at the beginning of the year to be an obliteration of the Rangers. However, these Rangers are showing promise. However, the Astros have won 12 of their last 14 and are on incredible momentum. I hate giving credit where it's due, and I have to give credit to the Astros for that incredible momentum. Give me the Astros here.
