Monday morning, it was our first day to go to school. I felt so excited, everybody was excited! I couldn't even prepare my things. I was galvanized, thus, I could wear again my school uniform that Mama had sewed it perfectly.

All of us in the house were busy in preparing, for our different departures. I felt so energized, as well as my siblings and parents. Nobody should left at home, since everybody was leaving. Mama, Papa and my younger brother, Rey were going to the farm as conventionally practiced.

It was arround 6:00 o'clock in the morning when we walked our way heading to school, kilometers away from home. It was a frosty and quite destination. Birds and insects were making noise to meet their beautiful new day. I could still feel the moist and dews of the grasses as they tripped me. Grasshoppers were jumping from one leaf to another, looking for a pleasant and fresh leaf to eat. I felt the pain of my feet as they stumbled on the gravels on my way, but I ignored everything because I felt electrify to meet my teachers again. The classes started at exactly 7:30 in the morning. I was amazed when I saw my teacher and classmates, especially my seatmate. They had a friendly faces, but not sure if it was, since it was the first day.

I felt so shy to speak. Everybody seemed to be muted. I was nervous when my teacher walk on the isle.

"Okay class wake up! Let us begin our discussion by introducing ourselves"
Miss Tan politely said.

" I am Miss Arminda F. Tan, I will be your adviser until the end of the school year, so we should know each other asap"
She added.

I was shaking because I was afraid, she might call me first. I couldn't think the best words that I should be delivering in the class.

"God help me..." I accidentaly murmured but in a noticeable sound.

"Who is that voice?" Miss Tan asked.

"P-Please dont point me out..." I secretly said but my lips were shaking.

All of a sudden, when I turned my sight to my classmates, they were pointing at me.

"Oh my G..." I ignored them. I felt awkward because I sat in middle of them. Everybody was laughing at me because I was just shaking my head.

"Sshhh...class keep quite.. let us now hear from Robbie's words" Miss Tan enunciated.
She was walking through my seat.

"Its ok Robbie, just do it with confidence" she encouraged me and tapped my back.

For the first line of my speech, my mind was blocked but I resisted as it passed by. I just tried to express what my heart forced me to speak.

Everybody proudly clapped at me. I smiled and bowed at them.

I realized that everything would be soft if we just put ourselves into confidence and courageous in facing such challenge.

Lunch time, my elder siblings waited me outside of my room to take our lunch together. We had only one bag and lunchbox to accommodate our things. It was the only thing that our parents could afford and provide us in order to send us in school. Despite of our life's imperfection, it met my satisfaction. They had been waiting for me until we finish our discussions, and finally, we could take our lunch.

It was 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon as we arrived at home from school. We hurriedly fixed and changed our clothes to follow our parents in the farm. These were the rules and regulations at home that Mama and Papa were forcing us to obey. We were plowing the farm and took some weeds on the vegetable farm as usual. We came back home late at night. The sun had left the beautiful figure of the place and the dark substituted the amazing images. I felt exhausted on my first day when we came home from the farm, since this was my first day to overload myself with courses. I laid down on my bed while Mama was preparing for the dinner.

Dinner time, so we started to eat. Everybody hungrily ate.

"How were you doing in the first day of classes?" Mama asked us.

"I got a lot of new classmates and friends" I happily said.

"I don't like our teacher Mama, because he doesn't teach well" Rolly murmured.

"Everybody should know how to adjust yourselves, because not all the time that the best things will remain the same. Not everything is the same" Papa adviced us. I paused for a second just in eternalizing the message, then I got the message of my father's speech. I digested all of the conversations we had.

After the meal, I was preparing for my assignments in school. I was trapped in my math task. It was all about memorizing the multiplication table. I was stocked but it gave me no stress, in fact, I felt motivated when I saw numbers.

I keep studying, until...
Everything had turned into befogged. I went out just to check what was happenning arround. I was not felt coward but I was felt more inquisitive.

"Hello?" I kept searching. I was wondering how it happened. A while ago, I guessed I was trying to take a rest, but now...

I continued the journey.

Ahead of me, a lady was hurriedly walking through the isolated way. She was sobbing while stepping through. My eyes had been following her, in every step she made. I was trying to recognize her. I didn't know the situation. I almost felt afraid to step through.

Then...

"Mama don't leave!" I stared at her face, begging not to leave. She looked at me and rambled her way. She was carrying her suitcase. There's a great sadness on her face, seemed like an irresistible feeling.

"We love you very much Mama, don't do this to us!" I cried, but she continued her cause ahead, opposite from my direction.

It was only the two of us in the middle of the horrible scene. Nobody was there to accompany me in stopping Mama from leaving. The house was in the deep silence. I climbed in the tree to know where she would really go. Over a distance, I saw her walking through the next intersection of the rocky road. She smoothly disappeared and waived her hand to me while crying. I couldn't explain the feeling of emptiness, so I jump over the tree.

Huh! Oh my God! am I dead?

Ohh no! It was terrible!

I slapped my face until I realized it was only an extremely horrifying nightmare.

Oh!

I went to the kitchen, washed my face and drank a glass of cold water. I remembered I was not even able to finish my assignment yet. I fixed my things, blew the lantern and went to my bed and back to sleep.
