Monstadt was known well across all nations for its fine wine, festivals, free-spirited nature and, a little more uncommonly, their omegas. Travelers from all over gathered there to taste the famous dandelion wine and enjoy the scenery. You were sent from Fontaine as an ambassador for a Fontaine wine industry, here to shake hands with Monstadt's finest.
Albeit a bit rushed, your secretary managed to help secure a small meeting with various alcohol merchants in Monstadt. It was nothing new, everyone was trying to get their hands on dandelion wine, some going as far as attempting to recreate it. It would be a lie to admit that your company hasn't tried.
Nothing sells quicker than authentic Monstadt wine. You couldn't help the grobbled sigh that left you as you slumped in your seat, entirely bored of the same old treatment. The company offers a deal only to be shut down by almost every well respected merchant. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that going straight to the supplier at the Dawn Winery would be easier.
The meeting was nothing short of an event, a bit too fancy to only be shaking hands with the rich. People showed up dressed well, Alphas preying on omegas, pheromones mixing in the air. It was a bit much, but you had to keep your smile. It's supposed to be a meeting, not a dating ring.
The string of complaints that were about to be thrown at your secretary was cut off, an unfamiliar, yet strikingly handsome face caught your attention.
Gossip bubbled over behind you, whispers of his name. People questioned whether Monstadt's revered wine tycoon, Diluc Ragvindr, was a Beta or an Omega. There were always rumours about him being a Beta, no one seems to know the truth however, so you never paid attention to it.
You'd gotten lost examining his features, you completely forgot what your goal was. Going back home empty handed wouldn't look well on you. Sucking up your worry, you walked over to him while fastening your tie.
"Master Diluc, how nice of you to come." you greeted and outstretched your hand.
He placed his gloved hand in yours for a loose handshake, he was never one for many words. That much you knew.
"I don't believe we've met." his voice rang in your ears, it was deeper than you expected.
"(Y/N), visiting on behalf of (company name) from Fontaine. It's a pleasure to finally meet you!"
Diluc found your demeanor different, he already knew what your intentions were. But you weren't fakely sucking up to him in hopes he'll grant you a deal which for the most part, was what he expected. You seem nice, he thought.
A hand, not too much larger than your own was on your shoulder, pulling you away from whatever conversation you were gonna have.
"Aren't you that bitch Alpha who cut the supply line of Wine to my shop??" a large man, with very evident anger problems approached you, his breath heavily soaked with alcohol. He drunkenly swayed his weight from one leg to the other while eying you down, his pheromones releasing into the air. It was thick, most of the unmarked omegas in the room were already reacting to it. Uncomfortably agitated where they were.
"Please get a hold of yourself sir." you took his arm off you, which only riled him up more.
There's always that one unprofessional person..
"You're telling me to get a hold of myself?!"
The fiery haired man next to you tried to intervene as well, some other people gathered around trying to avoid any fight from arising. It wasn't uncommon for some alphas to get overly aggressive with each other, you knew how to hold your cool. The other guy didn't seem the type to think rationally. Probably why he got cut off in the first place.
