"I know for a fact that you are not about to leave all the chores on me!" Y/n exclaimed, crossing their arms over their chest in slight annoyance. Their closest friend, Thoma, typically helped y/n complete all of the chores within the Kamisato Estate, but today, it seemed, would be different. Thoma chuckled in response to y/n's behavior, "Sorry! But I already told you yesterday that I'd be going out with Lady Ayaka today." Y/n only grumbled and pouted in response, "I wasn't paying attention..." Thoma shrugged as he grabbed his key to the Estate and put it in his pouch. "M'lady is already waiting for me, so I wish you luck. Especially with Mr. Kamisato, he can have quite the temper in the early mornings... good luck anyways! See you soon!" y/n gulped as they waved goodbye to their friend.

Y/n had been working with Thoma in the Kamisato estate for quite some time but, it was usually y/n who worked with Ayaka and Thoma who worked with Ayato. Something about being in Ayato's presence made y/n shiver. Not particularly in a bad way, just something about his aura of prestige changed the mood of the whole room. Y/n sighed as they made their way to Ayato's room. At least Thoma had already made breakfast... Once y/n got there, they knocked gently on the double doors, "Are you awake, Mr. Kamisato?" No response. Y/n knocked again, a bit louder this time. "Sir, your breakfast will get cold..." This time, y/n could hear the sound of blankets shifting from inside the room, "You may come in." Said a voice from within.

Y/n carefully opened the doors and walked inside the room, closing the doors behind them. Ayato was sitting on the edge of his bed wearing a white T-shirt and light blue sweatpants. His soft, blue hair was matted all around and his blue eyes seemed to shine through his lashes, despite the tired look they displayed. Ayato smiled up at y/n, "Thoma did inform me he would be out today but, who knew he'd be switched with an angel?" Ayato chuckled as y/n scrambled for words. "I'm only teasing of course." Ayato explained with a grin. Y/n was red in the face as she stood, dumbfounded near the doors. Ayato stood up and stretched his arms a bit. Even now he looked beautiful. "Breakfast is ready, yes?" He asked, staring directly at the so called "angel". Y/n nodded in response, still unable to form words. "I'll be out in five." Ayato smiled, so y/n smiled in return and left the room.

Once y/n was sure they were out of Ayato's earshot, they sighed to themself. "What a great way to start my morning..."

.-~*♡*~-.

Just like Ayato had said, he had left his room in about five minutes, and arrived in the kitchen to start eating his breakfast. He had changed into his usual clothing of white pants and a suit although, it was a lot more than just that. Despite already being dressed, his hair was still a mess. Because of this, y/n could guess that either Ayaka or Thoma typically brushed out Ayato's hair in the mornings. Y/n could feel their face heat up from the thought of being so close to Ayato. Sure, it might seem immature but, who said liking someone was ever immature? "The breakfast smells good, doesn't it?" Ayato asked as he took a seat near the counter where his plate lay. "Yes sir, it does." Y/n responded, trying to seem as professional as they could.

Ayato smiled, glad he could finally hear y/n's voice, face to face. No, hearing it through the door didn't count to him. "Do you need me to brush your hair, Mr. Kamisato? It's... quite tangled." Y/n offered, being as careful as they could. They worried that one wrong move, and Ayato would never forgive them. "Oh, yes. That would help a lot." Ayato responded, reaching into his sleeve and pulling out a hairbrush. Guess one sleeve is for boba and the other is for— self care...? Y/n shrugged off the thought and took the hairbrush that was being offered to them. Y/n stood up from their seat and walked behind Ayato as he sat still. Typically, y/n would have to reach up to reach the top of Ayato's head due to their height difference, but since he was sitting down, y/n had to do nothing of the sort.

"Have you checked the schedule yet?" Ayato wondered as y/n brushed his hair. "Yes, I have." Ayato huffed, a tired look now on his face again. "Well, what will I do today?" Y/n took a moment to recall the schedule Thoma had given them and sighed in relief.

"You know, you're pretty lucky." Thoma had said, handing y/n the schedule. It had been written on a small piece of notepad paper but, only one sentence seemed to be there. 'Hangout with Mr. Kamisato.' "Are you serious?" Y/n questioned Thoma. They had been expecting something more... professional. Thoma nodded a yes, "The Kamisato siblings often get treated as respected people, sometimes perfect people. As such, people are intimidated by them, so friends are few and far between." Y/n felt bad suddenly. They never knew what life was like for the siblings... "Just spend time with him, okay?" Thoma said. Y/n nodded, ready to take charge.

"Well, Mr. Kamisato, your schedule today is one of your simplest yet." Y/n smiled. "Oh? Then, what is it?" Ayato asked, curious on why his day would be considered simple. Y/n stopped brushing Ayato's hair for a moment to dig into their pocket to take out the schedule Thoma had given them and hand it over to Ayato. Y/n then continued to brush Ayato's hair as he examined the paper. "Thoma wrote this." He said, his voice sprinkled with both surprise and confusion, "I almost never have free days." His voice now sounded a bit more excited. "What convenient timing." He said with a full smile now, his tone of voice seeming almost lighter than what it was a few moments before.

"Do you have any ideas on what to do today, Sir Ayato?" Y/n suddenly gulped. They said his first name... perhaps they jumped the gun a bit. "Today is a day for informalities! Please, just Ayato is fine." Y/n would be lying if they said they weren't surprised. "Of course, Ayato." There were a few moments of silence as y/n finished brushing Ayato's hair. Now it looked as it typically did, with not a knot to be found. "Done." Y/n announced as they placed the hairbrush down onto the counter. "You don't mind if," Ayato began, "we go get boba once we're done with breakfast, do you?" Y/n blushed, although they did their best to hide it, their best wasn't enough. Ayato could see it on their face, clear as day. "No, I don't mind." Y/n assured, mentally scolding themself. It's not like they were being asked out on a date or anything... right?

Ayato smiled at y/n, and in truth, y/n loved his smile. It accented everything that made him look beautiful. Ayato spoke, taking initiative, "Well, finish up, y/n. Because now, I'm excited." Y/n smiled.

"Without a problem, Ayato."
