The cold wind breezed onto his face. He rubbed his hands together to feel a little warmth. He reached his inner pocket of the jacket and pulled out a small steel flask. He looked back to see if anyone was coming out of the building before taking a sip from the flask. As soon as he took a sip, he reached for his unbuttoned jacket to button it. The light from the billboard opposite to the street turned too bright that he lowered his cap and raised his jacket collar. Just then, a lady walked out of the building behind him. He walked aside from the building and looked at the woman. The lady pulled up her jacket zipper and started walking away. The guy took one big sip from his flask and started walking the same direction the lady was walking. He returned the flask into his pocket inside his jacket as he walked.
His phone buzzed as he walked. He took out his phone and a message from an unknown number showed, 'Are you following her?' He raised his head from his phone to look at the lady and then send a 'yes' back. He walked slowly keeping a safe distance from the woman. He watched her phone rang and she talked through the phone over a minute. All of a sudden, she stops walking, still on the phone. The guy stops and turns to his side, facing the street. With his peripheral vision, he could see the woman turning around and looking at his side. She hangs up the call and turn back and starts walking again. The guy turns back and starts walking, keeping a safe distance between him and the lady.
The lady walked for another minute and a half before stopping near a building. The guy also stops. Before she turns around, the guy swiftly moves behind the building wall to hide himself from her sight. He sneaked at the end of the wall to see the woman, and she was looking at the empty street. She started walking again. The guy walked out of the wall and continued tailing her.
The guy's phone buzzed again. He took out his phone and it was from the unknown number. The message said, 'I am at the pickup point.' He kept back his phone and walking behind the woman. The woman looks by her shoulder as she walks and starts walking with a faster pace. "Fuck!" The guy says to himself and walks faster the keep that same distance between him and the woman. The woman suddenly stops again near some bushes. The guy just stops, turns to the side, and takes out his phone pretending to use it. He hears the footsteps from her direction and turns back to her direction.
She is gone. She disappeared. He ran to the point where she stood and looked around. She is nowhere to be seen. He looked around. The cold wind hits his face as he removed his cap to look around. 'She couldn't have gotten far' he thinks to himself and keeps looking as far as his eyes can reach. He hears the bushes being crunched and he looks through the bush. He walks slowly towards the bush making little to no noise. He hears a light footstep behind him. Before he could turn around, he was hit behind his head with some kind of log. He was thrown towards the bushes. He tried to stand up and face the person who hit him. His blurry eyes saw a tall man with a long trench coat with his fists up. Before he could think, he was punched over his face by the tall man that pushed him into the muddy ground. Darkness took over his vision as he saw the foot of the man walk away.
