Chapter 1. The hunt begins

I grabbed my bag for work. Yes, I am working with the police to find the murderer. So it's been a while since the lead team and I worked together. But unfortunately, we didn't find much. And the funny thing is the group leader thinks the murderer is Lee Ro Joon. The CEO of a huge business. He was known for a good reputation. Well, he could be fooling everyone around. Unfortunately for the group leader Ko Yoon Jung who was calling me right now.

" Hello? 

" Where are you? "

She asked. Oops, am I late? Nope, I am not. 

" I am out of my house. Running for work? "

I said. 

" HEY, DETECTIVE!! "

Over the phone, I could hear one of the members scream out. What the hell is he yelling for? 

" I am almost there. I'll call you later. "

I said calmly. 

I opened the door and walked in. I was shocked to see Lee Ro Joon. What the fuck? I quietly turned around and was about to leave. I didn't want to risk it. Risk letting him see my face and killing me. 

" Y/N you are finally here. "

Shit- I didn't turn around as I replied. 

" H,-ello. Um, I am sorry I'm a bit late. "

I said. The group leader swiftly walked up to me and whispered in my ear.

" There's no point in hiding. He already knows your... probably everything., "

Ah well, fuck it then. I am dead as hell. I turned around and smiled. 

" I'm sorry I was covering up myself a bit. I am a shy person. "

I chuckled. Lee Ro Joon looked up and me and smiled a chilly smile. 

" Hello to you too. You're the lead detective. yes? "

 " Yes, I am. It's nice to meet you, Mr. Lee. "

I smiled warmly. Knowing I am screwed. I want to be remembered as a kind person than a bad one. I shook his hand. 

" So I am pretty sure you know why you're here. "

" He better. "

One of the younger members of the group growled. I waved him up and mouthed him to shut up. 

" Ahem sorry. Unfortunately, we are suspecting that you are the murderer. "

I said the last bit softly. 

Unfortunately? "

He chuckled and touched his forehead. 

" We don't want you to be the murderer as well. "

I said softly. The group leader Miss. Ko growled under her breath. 

" Why are you being so nice to a murderer. "

" He isn't confirmed. This meant his not yet a murderer. "

I said under my breath as well. 

" Anyways. Um. Do you know him? "

I asked showing Mr. Lee a photo of the dead waiter. 

" When we first saw his body. His neck and heart were severely injured. Our best guess is a knife. A small knife. "

I said carefully examining his face. Nothing showed. 

" Wasn't he one of your waiters? "

The group leader asked.
