Third P.O.V

2011

A young 8 year old boy laughed as he looked at three grasshoppers through his magnifying glass. Birds chirped as the boy looked at the grasshoppers move across the log.

An older dog started to bark and whine as the young boy kept looking at the grasshoppers. The dog walked away and barked continuously.

   "Poe?" The boy asked.

The dog just continued to bark.

 "Poe!"

The boy ran down a slight hill as he dropped his crutch on the ground.
"Poe, what is it? Poe, enough. Enough!"

The dog continued to bark as the boy looked around the forest. The boy looked at the magnifying glass as it shook. Until it stood up on its own on the rim. Leaves spun around the boy and his dog. The boy looked around, frightened, and confused. The magnifying glass spun faster until...the boy was gone nothing behind but his crutch... and a puppy.

2021 - Ten Years Later

Many students were chattering as they were taking the class photo.

"Get in place. Come on." The photographer told them.

"Come on. Let's hurry it up a bit. Everyone stand up, like Dylan. Yeah that's good."

There was a boy with curly brown hair and gold, circle shaped glasses. A girl with brown curled hair came up to him smiled at him as she laughed.

"How are you doing?" she asked.

"Fine, and you." He asked.

"Not bad." she said.

A boy with brown short hair came up to them.

"Sup?" he said.

Another boy came up to them who looked similar to the boy with short brown hair but blonde. Next to him was a girl with curled black hair. Her hair was similar to the other girl's.

"Hey. No, Marie, Victor no."

Thing is, Marie and Victor were a year younger than the other 8th graders. They were moved up a year for their intelligence. Although, Marie was having trouble since she was behind. Victor was doing fine he just didn't want to be with the older kids. So, they were going to repeat the year.

"The short ones up front."

"What?" Victor asked.

"Aw, man." Marie complained.

"All right. Let's do it." The photographer said as Marie and Victor went up to the front. "You'll see your friends again later. Sit down"

"Where?" Victor asked.

"Get in front some where. Find yourself a spot. Quit goofing around for a second would you?"

Victor sat in a random spot and Marie plopped down next to him and he hooked his arm around her.

"There you go. Ready? Yeah?"
