"Can't you let loose a little? It's our last time for us to be ourselves before college!" Beryl's friends were great but very persistent. When the three of them instantly became friends, all of them vowed no secrets. Still as a senior age eighteen the girl kept her promise to them. The three of them were always together even on the first day of school, at their favorite coffee shop a cup of joy. The first day of senior year, Beryl had her green dress on that went toward her knees and long sleeved since she could get cold very easily. Her friends in light blue and dark blue dresses just like Beryl. Clem was in the light blue with her hair in a bun since she did not like having her hair down ever. Isla in the dark blue had her curly hair showing since she was the more natural hair out of three of them. After getting their normal iced coffee order, they met at Beryl's car to head to school. The air seemed so different that day, California seem very cold for a day in august. "Oh my God! Did you two see the hottie working in there?" Clem practically squealed to her friends, Isla nodded agreeing as both eyes were on their best friend. "Earth to Beryl! What the hell are you thinking about?" Isla tapped he shoulder, as Beryl zoned back in. "I'm sorry- Did you say something?" Both girls rolled their eyes getting in the car, a few moments after Beryl climbed in the driver seat. She made sure everyone was buckled before driving off. "Sorry for zoning out but coach is already on my ass about practice and we aren't even in season!" The girl sighed as she focused on the road. "This is why you are going to the party tonight! You need to let yourself take a break you ran all summer. Tonight is our last night of freedom and someone's first kiss!" Clem explained. Out of the three of them Beryl was the oldest and still hadn't her first kiss which her best friend's teased her about. Beryl rolled her eyes, as she reached senior student parking. "Don't bring that up! I'll go to the party if I feel up to it." She turned the car off grabbing her bag and coffee, unbuckling and exiting the car. Isla and Clem almost tripped running after her. "What do you mean think about it? I'm hosting it! Both of my best friends better be there. I mean it Jordan!'' Clem yelled enough for the whole school to hear. Beryl flipped her friend off laughing heading to her first class. Eyes were on her as she walked in, there was that feeling she felt before leaving the coffee shop. The only mind going through her mind could be her favorite two words. She thought to herself, yes she was known at school but was very quiet since she was the top student. You know the saying think fast? she was going to be feeling that very fast. Hearing the bell ring at the same time, she really should've thought fast feeling hot coffee on her body. "The hell" She gasped, that's when she saw her. Iris was laughing at one of her friends who had the cup of coffee in their hands. "Oh my god Sorry! My friend Axel didn't see you forgive him." Iris explained to the girl covered in coffee. "It's fine." Beryl said heading down the hall pissed off. Once she reached Coach Henderson's office. "There's my favorite runner! What the hell happened?" Her coach gasped, and told her to come in. Beryl explained what happened knowing she was missing first period. "Thank you for helping I'll wear anything truly." Her coach handed her a shirt and shorts. She thanked her again and hurried toward the bathroom getting in the biggest stall. She stripped her perfect outfit for her perfect first day of senior year had already turned hellish. She pulled out her phone texting her group chat with Clem and Iris. "I'm sorry for being odd this morning.. bring on the party." She shut her phone and changed hearing the bell ring. "I missed the whole first period?" Which was her only class, and she missed it. Beryl hurried out of the bathroom, meeting her best friends at her car. "Clem can we go ahead to your house? I don't want deal with a lecture from my parents" Beryl explained, with so much panic on her face and got into the car. "Yeah sure! You can borrow something from my house Isla already planned on it." Beryl really had good friends thankfully. Once everyone was in the car Beryl drove toward Clem's house. Since it was a short drive, they reached rather quickly. Each girl climbed out of the car, Clem lead them inside. The thing many people didn't know about Clem was her father was the mayor and her mom was one of the top models in California but her parents were never home so she basically raised herself and was used to being by herself. The house was very up to style, perfect walls and colorful walls. Beryl headed straight upstairs toward Clem's room. "Can you guys believe some girl laughed as her friend spilled coffee on me?" Her friends just agreed. "Well hopefully they don't show up. But girls! There was this really cute girl in my basic history class. That's coming from me!" Isla laughed. That was something about her and her friends they could laugh for hours, and always had. A few hours had passed, as the girls got ready. Beryl in her normal green but was a crop top and skirt that matched. Her hair pulled up in pigtails once again being the it girl of the party. Clem had on a short red dress matching with her seductive red lipstick with her hair up in a bun of course. Isla in a grey shirt and skirt since she was the more of covering her skin girl for parties. Meanwhile Iris and her friends were already in the car heading toward the party. "No man if you didn't spill coffee on that girl I could've gotten her number!" Iris was explaining from the passenger seat, Axel who was driving scoffed. "Iris I know your new but Don't mess with that girl she the it girl of our grade. She apparently hasn't had her first kiss. Probably because she lives and breathes running." That made Iris interested, and she smirked. "I bet I can make her fall for me. Game on?'' She said to her new friend as they reached the party. Clem was letting people in as some guy was trying to get Beryl to dance. "Come on! One dance?'' she clearly said no, as she saw the person she did not want see walk through the door. "The Hell!" She gasped, grabbing Isla's arm dragging her into the kitchen. "That is the people I was talking about! What the fuck am I gonna do?" Isla laughed and shook her head. "Can't you let loose a little? It's our last time to be ourselves before college! Drink this." Isla put a drink in her hand, and Beryl took a few sips before she was pushed toward the front door. Exactly where Iris was and seeing her in that moment, she felt something that was not normal what the hell was in this drink. "Beryl!" Isla finally reached her and Clem was beside her. "Why don't you let us meet your new friend! I'm Clem and this is Isla. We are Beryl's best friends and you are?" Clem smiled reaching her hand out. "I'm Iris I'm from New York just moved and my passions are beauty and I know beauty when I see it." Hinting at Beryl. "I need go to the bathroom.." Beryl finished her drink then ran toward the bathroom. Her head was spinning as she almost fell someone caught her. "Beryl love I found you! Why'd you run off?" Iris said lightly, and took Beryl's hand leading her to the closest bedroom which was Clem's. "I don't think we should be alone.'' Beryl said and tried to convince herself this wasn't who she was. "I don't like girls!" Her head was spinning once again. As Iris face was inches from hers. In Beryl mind she was telling herself this was happening because she drank but this felt right she just didn't want believe it yet. "Beryl that's where you are wrong.. trust me. If you don't want this I'll back off just say the word." But the thing was, Beryl knew what she wanted so no words came from her lips for a moment. Then it happened. "For fuck sake. Kiss me." As Iris was told to do, she kissed Beryl.
