The Party

Your POV
Over the past couple of weeks Jess and I have become better friends. However, so have Rory and I. When I walked into school Jess quickly appeared at my side. "Hi Jess" I say with a smile. "Hello y/n" he says kindly. "Rory's party is tonight..are you excited?" He nods and we continue walking down the hallway. When I get to my locker Rory is there waiting. "That's my cue to go" Jess says giving me a small hug before leaving. That left me speechless. He's never hugged me before. Rory looked surprised too. And a little bit...jealous? Why would she be jealous when Jess and I aren't even together. She also has Dean. When I reached her she immediately asked me. "Are you two dating or something?" "No!" I quickly respond. She looks relieved. Weird. "Oh okay" she says. "Shall we walk to class?" I nod at her and we start down the hall. I decide to ask her about it. "Why did you care if Jesse and I were dating?" "Oh uh- I dunno. I guess I was just wondering." I just nodded and we headed down the hallway.

         *time skip to party*
I got ready for the party and headed for the door

I entered and quickly found Jess by the drink table. "Hey!" I said loudly trying to get his attention from the loud music. He smiled when he saw me. Then he stared at my outfit wide eyed. My face was turning all shades of red. He shook his head blushing. "Hi!" He said returning the loud tone. "You uh- you look great" he said. Ok. I was definitely blushing now. Had Jess gotten cuter overnight or is it just me? "Thanks! You do too" I said returning his compliment. He smiled at me. "I'm gonna go find Rory. Wanna come?" He look a little uncomfortable. "Uhm..sure" he said following me and I started up the stairs. As we walked upstairs we found Rory..and Dean. They were making out so Jess and I quickly left. When we reached an empty room we started laughing. "I can't believe that!" Jess said still laughing. I was laughing to hard to even respond. When I could finally open my eyes I saw Jess standing close to me with a piercing stare. I could feel myself starting to sweat as he got even closer. As he inches closer I inched closer, and just when we were inches from each others faces we hear a loud call from downstairs. "Let's play spin the bottle everyone!" Jess and I awkwardly jump back both rushing downstairs. I knew I was blushing harder than ever. Had that really almost happened?
