I grab my bag and head out the door I was walking down the street. I was meeting my mother at church since I just got back from one of my jobs out of state. I step to the gate and look in. I got almost nervous all of a sudden like everything around me seemed to be closing in. I took a deep breath and attempted to step closer, but my body was stopping me. I shake my head and turn away and start walking away. I felt bad for not going in, but it almost felt awkward even looking at the place. I was on my way back to my house when I felt someone grab my arm, it wasn't violent though, but I still turned and smacked them across the face.
"Damn!" I recognized the voice and actually looked at the person. It was Shiro he was holding his face on the side I slapped.
"Oh my god Shiro I'm so sorry! I didn't know it was you"
"No no don't be... You got a good hand on ya though" I chuckle at the complement, there was a pause between words though.
"Well, uh- why were you following me anyway?"
"Well, I noticed at the church then saw you walk anyway so I thought I would check on you" I smile
"That's sweet of you Shiro but I'm ok" he stands there though.
"Where were you going anyway?"
"Don't you have to get back to the church?"
"Well, no not really I could just ask one of my men to take over for me today" I roll my eyes.
"Well, if you're going to follow me then come on, I might as well show you what I was going to do..." I turn back the way I was going and started walking. Shiro followed shortly behind.

We step up to my house but instead of entering through the front door we step into my back yard from my houses side gate. I make sure to have my keys on hand and walk up to this old backyard garage. The wood was pretty old, but the building didn't look like it was going to fall anytime soon. I grab the lock on the door and look back to see Shiro standing behind me tapping his foot. I smile and put in the key turning it allowing the lock to come undone. I put the keys into my bag and take off the lock setting it also in my bag for now. I undo the latch that was holding the door shut and used the rusted handle on the door to pull it open. The room was dark besides the light coming through the windows and the freshly opened door. I look to the side and find the light switch. I use it and the whole room brightens. I blink a couple times allowing my eyes to get used to the light. I step inside and turn and wave Shiro to come inside.
He slowly steps onto the soiled concrete floor. I smile seeing a cover on top of something. I look back at Shiro.
"Mind helping a lady out?"
"Anything for you m'lady" I smile and point him to one side of the cover, and I go to the other.
"OK just lift it up and move backwards" he nods and we at the same time lift up the cover and lift it off to reveal a car. Not any old car though a 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL. (Picture below)

It was pretty dusty, but it didn't look too bad for sitting in the same place for years. I never drove it around I didn't want to ruin it, but it needs to get out every once in a while.
"Wait here" I say as I run out back to my house and grab a rag from a drawer, I have of them. I get a small bucket and fill it with water and a little soap. I walk back out and set the bucket on the floor. I give the rag to Shiro.
"Clean her up, will you? I have to go get some gas and make sure she can run" he nods taking the rag from my hand. I grab the gas can I had in the corner of the place and shake it. There was enough in there for the trip we were taking. I walk back to the can and open the little door where I put in the gas and pour the rest of the can into it.

We have finally finished cleaning up the car and it almost looked brand new. I smiled and walked over the garage door and manually opened it. I grab the keys and open up the car door sliding into the driver's seat. I turn to look over at Shiro.
"You getting in or are you going to stand there?" he smiled then hopped into the passenger seat. I grab the key and put it into the key hole and turn it. It took a couple try's to get it started but I eventually got her started. I slowly pulled out of the garage getting her on the road. I started down the road trying to get out of the populated area of the town.
I then start down a road that never has people on it. It was quiet and was quite a straightforward road. There were trees the covered most of sun, so it was mostly shady. I would always ride down this road when I needed to clear my mind of anything. I turned on the radio and turned it up a bit. I took a deep breath and relaxed my arms and used my knee to keep the wheel straight. My foot was giving a light amount of presser on the gas, so I just relaxed in my seat.
"This is all you were going to do?" I look over at Shiro for a moment.
"Yeah" I smile softly. He nods.
"This is quite relaxing I've never actually been down the road never thought it would be so peaceful"
"Yeah, I found it years ago coming back home from a job I've used it anytime I could since"
"I can see why" I look over at Shiro and see him relaxed leaning back in the seat. I don't really see him relaxed that often with Rin and Yukio he's always worried about something.
"I've never seen you so relaxed" I say with a chuckle. He just laughs and stares off at the trees. I look over at Shiro and jokingly punch his shoulder. He looks over at me.
"You're the best friend someone could ask for" he rolls his eyes and punches me back.

"I know"
