Seth wasn't usually the type to lounge in bed. If he wasn't waking up early to work out, he either had a class to teach at Black & Brave or he had to be on the road heading to another show. Even on his rare days off, the habit was so ingrained that previous girlfriends complained that he never lingered just to talk or cuddle. With Becky, though, he didn't want to leave the comfort of the bed. The voices of people in the hallway were getting more frequent, and he knew most of their colleagues would be up by now, but he couldn't seem to make himself move his arm from around Becky's hips. For her part, she seemed quite comfortable curled up against his side. She had finally put her bracelets back on and he already missed her glow—not to mention how he had made it pulse and grow. "I should probably go back to my room and shower and change, huh?" he asked, running the tips of his fingers up and down her back.
"Probably." Becky raised her now-safe hand to his face and brushed some of his curls back. "But it sounds like there's a lot of people milling around. You'll get spotted right away. Maybe you should wait until the rush ends."
Seth chuckled. "And when does the rush end? Ten? Eleven?" He grabbed Becky's hand and kissed it before pressing it to his chest. "Plus you said something about brunch with Charlotte," he added, "so she'll probably be calling you soon." He pointed to the dresser where the rest of her bracelets were stacked once more. "And your phone is all the way over there, and it doesn't look like you'll be moving to get it any time soon."
"Fine." Her voice was too sleepy to be stern, but Becky struggled to a sitting position against the headboard. "I'll get up too."
"Because that won't be distracting or anything." Seth kissed her quickly and slid out of the bed, collecting his clothes on his way to the dresser. Then he tossed her phone over, watching it bounce onto his pillow; she hadn't even tried to catch it. "See you downstairs?" he asked, suddenly feeling awkward. They had hardly been quiet while they were fucking, but they hadn't been talking about what the future held either. Still, if it was destined to be a one-night stand, it had been pretty damn glorious.
"Yeah." Grumbling, Becky swung her legs over the edge of the bed and stood. When she met Seth's gaze, she blushed a bit. "And later?"
Seth grinned. "Definitely." Before he could be too tempted to push her back onto the bed, Seth pulled on his clothes, looked around for anything he might have brought to her room, and headed to the door. "Later." He waited until she had dashed across the suite to the bathroom to open the door a crack. He looked both ways like a child crossing the street, but he couldn't see any fellow wrestlers. Some of the housekeeping staff were already starting the room clean-ups, so he dodged carts on his way down to his room. He managed to get inside without anyone calling his name, so he breathed a sigh of relief.
Normally grabbing his clothes for the day and getting ready to shower was a time from him to reflect a bit, but now Seth hurried through the process, repacking his bag as much as he could before heading to the bathroom. He didn't want to wash Becky's scent from his hair, but he knew Roman would notice. He's going to notice anyway, he thought as he glimpsed his reflection in the bathroom mirror. His eyes were shining like polished jewels, he couldn't stop smiling, and there was a small trail of bite marks along his neck and shoulders. Most of the marks would be hidden by his shirt, but he knew his eyes would give him away.
Seth showered as quickly as he could, winding his hair up in a bun because he didn't want to fuss with it. After he got dressed, he finished packing up his bag, made sure he hadn't left anything behind, and headed to the elevator, nearly colliding with Roman. "Oh. Hey."
Roman righted his bag and gave Seth a long look before heaving a sigh. "You didn't. Please tell me you didn't." When Seth stayed silent, Roman shook his head and swore. "We told you to talk with her, bro, not... do whatever you did to make your eyes all shiny like that."
