Mirrors

A girl looks in the mirror.
She doesn't like what she's sees.
Unfriendly reflection,
Becoming clearer.
They say I'm pretty. Oh please!
She sees an angry monsters with claws.
She falls to her knees, crumbling apart.
Silent tears. She's full of imperfection.
Her friends see a girl without flaws.
No one seems to notice.
A fake smile fooling the world.
It becomes hard to focus.
She paints a red rose,
With her shinning silver paintbrush.
She won't pick up her spoon.
Food has become her enemy.
Her friends want her to feel better soon.
What's the rush?
My friend and me,
We see the world in a different light.
Red tears weep from her thigh.
She made many mistakes,
Oh my!
She's still in sight,
But she's slowly fading away;
Without a person noticing.
The scars get deeper, that she makes.
She doesn't see herself the way we do.
If only she knew what they said were true.

This isn't about me btw. This was inspired by a friend and people that I know. And they are insecure. The very last line means that she doesn't realize that the compliments are true. Not like insults or anything. And I'll write more. This isn't gonna be the only poem. :D
