"Thank you for all of your support, the family would like to speak now" The reverend said as ten year old Kehlani sat in the front row viewing her fathers casket.
She came to the funeral with her grandmother only because her mother didn't care enough to come. She always had so much hatred towards her dad and Kehlani never knew why. It only led Kehlani to grow up resenting her mother for the way she treated her dad.
"How lucky am I to have had a father so special that I miss you this much? As much as I hate not having you around, I'm happy to know you're at peace. You may not be with me any more, but my love for you will never die. I miss you, Dad." Kehlani's shivering voice spoke to the mic.
Her dad never had any health problems or anything of that sort so when he died...everyone was shocked and questioned how it could've happened.
That's when an autopsy was performed and it was found out he had been shot. They said the person who did it seriously wanted him dead because he was shot at least 20 times. And they never hit his face once.
Although Kehlani was shattered she couldn't help but feel satisfied to know the dumb fucks who did it couldn't even aim for his face.
