Tatiana
"Love wake up." I grumbled as I cracked my eyes open to see Rose awake, shaking me to get ready. I blushed, seeing as I wasn't a morning person. No matter the circumstances.
"S-sorry." I mumbled as I hastily got up and changed into my cloth dress and apron. I brushed out my hair with my fingers as Rose giggled at me softly.
"Here." She handed me a simple pink toothbrush, and a small tube of toothpaste. "Let's get your teeth washed up and we can head down for breakfast." I nodded as she lead me to a bathroom.
I locked the door behind me as Rose said she will be waiting for me outside, incase anything happens or I need help, which I won't be needed any.
I needed help.
Give me a break, the toothpaste lid was too tight. After finishing my business in the bathroom we walked towards the kitchen, to help out with breakfast and eat.
My feet padded against the tiles of the kitchen as I made some eggs and some pancakes. I shivered as my feet got colder by the second. But I continued with the cooking.
"Hey, you're shaking like a leaf sweet-pea." I looked behind me as a boy with golden blonde hair and freckles looked at me with concern, he was so pretty.
"I-im okay, my feet a-are just cold." He then looked down at my feet as he nodded hesitantly. I looked away as my cheeks twinged with pink, embarrassed that I was probably the only person here without shoes or socks for that matter.
"We can fix that after breakfast." He gave me a small smile and left has he patted my shoulder softly.
I stood a bit shocked, but continued. After a bit of cooking, I had made a large portion of the eggs and pancakes. I swiftly got the plates without dropping anything to the table. I looked around to see Rose signaling me to sit next to her.
I hurriedly made my way to her when I bumped into a hard chest, but their strong arms held me close to keep me from hitting the floor. I looked up through my lashes as I saw Alessio, with a emotionless look.
My lip trembled, and for a second he gave me a soft look, but it was gone before I could comprehend it.
"Sit next to me." My lips parted in shock as he grabbed my hand softly and brought me to a seat that was right next to his. He pulled my chair out as I hesitantly sat down. I looked towards Rose as she gave me a thumbs up.
I shook my head as I gave her a pleading look. I looked towards Alessio as his eyes were already on me. I blushed and looked down, unsure of what to do.
The dining hall has quieted down due to what had happened, eyes were either casted down or at either me or Alessio. It was embarrassing to say the least.
3rd Person Point of View
The dining hall was only filled with whispers as Alessio only focused his dark eyes on the small shaking girl. He didn't want to scare her but only befriend her. He never befriended anyone that wasn't a soldier or worker that was under him, besides the sweet old Rose. But Tatiana was different, she wasn't stoic or mean, or trying to gain his attention.
He cleared his throat, and everyone began eating. The sounds of forks and drinks clinking against plates and the table.
"Would you like anything to eat?" His voice soft enough to not scare her but loud enough to catch her attention.
"Uhm. I don't h-have much of an a-appetite at the moment." Her words slowly fading. He knew she was lying. She would fidget with her fingers when she did.
He cracked his knuckled before getting a plate and putting a pancake a piece of bacon and a egg on it. He softly placed the plate in front of her with a glass of apple juice. She looked up again. Unsure of what to say.
"Eat." His voice soft but authoritative. She obeyed.
Her nibbles were adorable to him, the way she softly placed her drink or fork to avoid any noise from it. He tried to focus on his own meal but was too enchanted by the small beauty.
When most of the table had finished they left and washed their dishes and continued with their chores or headed back to their respected rooms.
It took a bit longer for Tatiana to finish, but he didn't mind. When she did finish she quickly got up and grabbed her plate to wash it and head back to her room. But the plate was grabbed out of her small fingers by Alessio.
He grabbed his and her plate and proceeded to wash them. She looked dumbfounded. She was sure he would want her to wash the plates. But he didn't have that in mind, he didn't want her poor feet to step foot in that cold kitchen, he made note to get fluffy socks and shoes for her.
"How was your breakfast?" The blonde boy from earlier came up to her beaming. She shook a bit.
"It was good." He nodded as he brought out a cloth bag and handed it to Tatiana. Her brows furrowed with confusion.
"It's a little something I had, these socks don't fit me anymore." She gaped. Nobody has ever done anything like this for her. Tears welled up in her eyes.
"D-don't cry! I wanted to give them to you sinc-" He was pushed harshly to the ground. Tatiana whipped her head to the girl from the other day.
"Stop giving the hand me downs to the slut of the house Sammy." Tatiana quickly helped Sammy up as he groaned softly.
"Stop being s-so harsh." Tatianas words shocked the teen, and even herself.
She scoffed. But before she could grab Tatiana, Alessio's hand stopped her as he harshly grabbed her wrist. She winced.
"This is my last warning to you." He voice seething. Cosette was shaking, and on the verge of tears. She glared at Tatiana and left.
Alessio looked at Tatiana, emotionless. She avoided his gaze and looked down. His gaze was so intense. He spotted the cloth bag and then eyes at Sammy. The blonde boy was an orphan, as he came to teen Alessio for a home.
He made note to thank him later for the socks he presumed he gave to Tatiana.
"Head back to your rooms. Both of you." The two small things looked at eachother and then at Alessio and nodded meekly.
They both trudged upstairs as Alessio called Vince down.
"Yes Don?" He voice sharp.
"Make Sammy's room on the third floor as well as Tatiana's." He nodded slowly and he headed upstairs.
He knew Tatiana was fragile, as well as Sammy, being outed by the rest of the maids for being out. But Alessio knew Tatiana wouldn't mind, and it would be better for them to be friends then them being alone. He wanted Tatiana to be comfortable for some reason. This unknown feelings scared him. And he usually wasn't scared of anything.
