Chapter 4(Thinking out loud)

              She must have gone home, Evans thought. He went to Mr Charles and waited for him till he finished his works. When he was done,he drove him home. ' I heard what you did in canteen today, Evans.' Mr Charles said and Evans knew he will surely bring the topic up. ' I didn't do anything,I only defended myself.' He replied boldly.
            ' I know but those boys are not students you mess with,they are really bad bullies even the school authorities knows.' He said. ' Even the school authorities know? Wow, what a speech.' He replied and looked through the window admiring the city peaceful environment. ' All am saying is that you have to be careful, your mom is relying on only you so please don't make her worried.' He said but Evans did not answer.
             They arrived at the house and Evans got down. ' Don't forget what I told you.' ' Thank you, good bye.' Evans replied and he driving away slowly.
           He entered the house and saw that it looked different,the furnitures and paintings had made it look better. He sighted his mom cleaning the T.V set and dropped his bag on the chair. ' Hi,mom.' ' Hey, Evans.' She replied not looking at him. ' How are you doing?' She asked as he went to the dining and poured a glass of water for himself.
             ' Am good, you guys really did a great job.' He said as he drank the water. ' Yeah,we just finished some hours ago. Your cut healed faster than before, it's gone.'  She replied. ' yea,I noticed that. Any food at home?' ' Yeah, check the refrigerator. How is college today?' She asked.
         Evans remembered how he had dealed with those boys wisely and smiled at himself,they won't dare bully any student not with all the embrassment the students did to them. ' What did you do?' Jane asked as she noticed he was in thoughts. ' Me? nothing. I just taught some bullies a lesson.' He replied. ' You have to stay out of trouble, Evans...... ' Am trying my best okay?' He cut her short and stood up.
            ' Am having a leave tonight, I'll arrive next tomorrow. Will you be fine with that?' She asked. ' Definitely....' I know you want to be left alone Evans, but will you be fine?' She asked in concern.
             ' Am so scared of leaving you alone. If not for your college,both of us will go.....' I am no longer a kid mom, I'll be fine.' He interrupted reassuringly. ' I know you are no longer a kid, you've become a strong man now but..... He walked over to her and embraced her lovingly.
          ' I'll be okay.' ' You are the only thing I've left in this world, Evans. Please, do not leave me too.' She said and Evans patted her back gently. ' I promise mom,I won't leave you.'

             Jane had left since four in the evening and he laid on his bed pressing his phone. Suddenly that thing he saw on the first day they arrived in the house breezed past him,he got alerted and pretended not notice. The thing ran again this time very speedily,he got up and tried all his best to touch it but it was just like the breeze,airy and unseen.
            ' Who are you?' He asked as he sensed that thing standing behind him. ' Who are you? You should be asking yourself that.' The voice replied exactly like a whisper. ' Who am I? Excuse me,am Miller Evans......' Is that who you really are?! No Evans, you are not just a Miller Evans, you are something more than that!.' The whisperish-like voice said angrily.
              ' I don't care what you are or who you are, just get out!' Evans replied. ' This is my house! And you are here to find out who you are, you are getting some evidence why don't you concentrate your energy on your inner self and see who Miller Evans is really is.........
            ' Stop! And get out of my head!' He shouted and placed his hands on his ears.

            Evans opened his eyes and off the shower slowly. He wondered how his thoughts about the strange lady he saw in college today led to a vision. He cleaned himself with a towel and sat on the bed gently. " You are something more than that " kept ringing in his head repeatedly.
            He stood up and sat in front of his laptop. He began searching for the meaning of a pack and saw the meaning but one strange meaning caught his eyes. It was a congregation of werewolves and their leader was an Alpha. He hissed and closed the laptop, everything was meaningless. His vision, that girl, everything was just an illusion!
             His ears caught sounds of cars arriving in the next house and went to the window. He saw posh cars stopped at the front of the gate,he became amazed as he saw Jasmine step down from one of the car and an elderly woman and man which he believed to be her parents.
            A chauffeur step down and opened the wide gate. The cars drove in but Jasmine and her parents was observing the environment,she was about to see him but he stepped back closing the window.
            This means Jasmine and her parents relocated to the mansion,and will be staying beside their house. He wondered why she was doing everything to get closer to him and promised himself never to let her become something significant in his life.
               His phone rang and he answered it. ' Evans, are you okay?' Jane asked from the phone. ' Yes mom.....' Have you eaten? Hope you're on bed sleeping. Don't roam around.' She interrupted.
              ' I've heard you mom, take care of yourself.' ' I should be telling you that mom, take care of yourself.' He responded as he laid on the bed gently. ' Alright sweetie, goodnight.' ' Goodnight.' He replied and ended the call immediately.
          He dropped the phone on the table and placed his hands behind his head. The vision he saw came to his mind but he took it off and closed his eyes, everything was meaningless. Everything was an illusion, sleep enveloped him slowly.
