"How could you do this?!" Lexi screamed as tears rolled down her cheeks
"Oh, as if you aren't cheating on me too!" Harry scoffed
"You really think I'm cheating? I fucking loved you!"
"You think I don't see it?" he asked
"See what?!"
"You and Horan! Best friends. Ha, right" he shook his head as he laughed without humor
"You're fucking stupid if you think I'm screwing Niall! He's my friend. My brother." she laughed at his stupid acusation
"You're honestly not seeing him?" he asked again
"I've never cheated on you, Harry. I cared.. seems you don't feel the same. We're done"
"We're not done" he moved forwards and grabbed her hand, "You never cheated? I just did this to get back at you.. I'm sorry"
She laughed. She really laughed. She thought that was hilarious, as if he thought she'd just run right back to his arms
"I'm done. Bye, Harry"
Lexi shook her hand loose from his grip and walked to her car.
"I'll text you!" he shouted
"I'm changing my number, asshole!" she called back
When she stopped driving, she ran inside the house she parked outside of and went right up the stairs and in the first room on the left. Niall was sitting on his bed, playing a videogame. He put the controller down and pulled his headset down so it rested around his neck
"Hey, Lex! What's up?" he greeted casually
"Harry cheated on me" she whispered
"He.. that bastard did what?"
"He was seeing that girl, Kendall.. because he thought I was cheating on him first" she explained slowly
Niall just opened his arms and scooted back on the bed. She happily slipped her shoes off and crawled into his lap. He held her and played with her hair to calm her down, like he always did.
"I'm sorry, love" he mumbled before lightly kissing her head
"It's okay.. he's just another dumb guy"
Niall nodded slowly and continued running his hands through her hair..
and eventually, she fell asleep.
"Can you be with me now?" he whispered to her sleeping body
Niall woke up to find his best friend laying completely on top of him. And she was awake.
She had grabbed his hand and started to play with his fingers.
"Hey, Lex" he whispered softly
"I hate him" she whispered back as tears finally started to slip from her eyes
He tipped her chin up and leaned down to gently kiss her forehead
Hate him all you want, babe.. just love me more than you ever loved him He thought to himself
