CHAPTER 1

Toffee pov.
We were on a secret date me and the rebel princess star butterfly.(side note they r at the same place as globgor and eclipsa were in their date let's just say it's a well known date spot between monsters for centuries.)
She knew my reason for disliking mewmans but more than anything she knew why I couldn't stand her family, I mean at first I couldn't stand her but as I explained what happened to me between me and her mother and losing my finger she didn't do what I expected. Although she never does, but this one time I had expected her to attack me like every other mewman I had come across especially after I had just talked about her mother and my distaste for her but instead she ran up to me and hugged me!! Me a monster, a monster that had just said terrible things about mewmans and yet she was hugging me and repeating low enough that only a septarian such as myself could hear her utter the words sorry. And against my better judgement I for the first time since my village had gotten pillaged by mewmans did I trust one. Suffice to say that we became fast friends after that and eventually something more. And that's why we're on our secret dare right now, we had been going out for months at this point but we dare not tell anyone atleast not yet. Not after what happened to the last Queen who did such a thing, Queen eclipsa, crystalized on the spot along with her husband. We wanted to make sure nothing like that ever happened and yet life was funny that way. U see on our date a guard saw us kiss before star went into the castle through the secret passageways and informed the queen. After that night I hated Queen moon butterfly than anyone else I had ever met, you see after our date the queen found out and immediately ordered the death of her own daughter. We thought keeping it secret would protect us but instead it ended in an even worse fate than being crystallised, death itself.and for me the loss of the most precious thing in my life my princess, my girlfriend, my love and in the end the last thing keeping me from making the wrong choices.

Star pov just after the date.
I had just kissed my love toffee.
I had gone through the secret passage way in the Side of the castle where I had left a candle for my way back and eventually I made all the way back to my room. I had moved into the abandoned Rose tower a few weeks back, you see after falling head over heels for toffee I started doing some more research on a very specific ancestor, that ancestor being eclipsa. You see I had always thought she was evil since that's what I had been told but everything I read from when she had been alive seemed to regard her as a normal person except for one. When people found out she had married a monster suddenly everyone hated her, her only place of solace was the rose tower. So I thought I might as well check the place out and turns out the rose tower was way better than my old room.it had a way better view, it was smaller but still large enough making it feel cosy and warm instead of big and isolated, and lastly it was far away from the rest of the castle. Made it easy to come and go to meet with toffee, I even had him over a few times.(fuck Me what a tangent lol)
As I drifted off to sleep looking out my window at the garden and well beyond I wondered what toffee was up to at the moment.

Time skip brought to u by sleep.

I woke up in the morning to a very loud knocking coming from my door I yawned and yelled out "come in!!" While hugging my me sized pillow with a deathgrip still half asleep. As my eyes adjusted I saw my mother walk in to be honest after what I had heard from toffees account a few months back I didn't enjoy talking to my mother much but nonetheless I put on my classic smile and asked "what's up mom?" To which moon responded with " have u been seeing toffee!? The guard last night said he saw u kiss toffee and leave back into the castle, I didn't even know he was still alive and star you should know that dating a monster is a bad idea they're dangerous!" Shit I had just been caught and I couldn't come with an excuse so instead I just sat there and waited for the inevitable punishment. I assumed it would be something like oh I don't know being grounded till I become queen or being never allowed to see toffee again but instead what came out of my mother was something I never thought was even possible " star, you dating a monster is a great embarrassment to me as you have always been if im being honest and because of that as queen of mewni I sentence you to death, guards seize her!"
What, this can't be happening "wait mom u can't be serious right!? Your my mom there's no way you would tell the guards to do this to me. Right mom?" And what I wanted to hear was not what I got, instead I got "star butterfly I'm sorry to say that I no longer want to be associated with you goodbye and I wish you luck in your next life." No outburst not even a tear she spoke as diplomatic as ever and that's when I realised she never saw me as her daughter but just as an obstacle in her way that would eventually take her place except now she had a way of stopping that. " I hate you moon." "What was that star?" " I said I hate you, you've never actually cared about, I thought atleast dad cared but I guess I was wrong" " oh no he does care star, but as far as he and everyone else knows it was toffee who killed you right after he saw you in the woods being irresponsible like always star." I didn't know what to say, I just looked down at the ground and all to soon the sword came barrelling down and that's when I passed.

This is not the end of the book this is just so that the part where she comes back is actually possible since if she is dating toffee she can't get killed by him cause if she did then why the fuck would she date the guy that killed her lol. Hope u enjoyed and please give me feedback
