The maze runner
I woke up to find myself in a chained box. All I hear is beeping. Looking around to find myself focusing on the logos Wicked. Turning my head up to find that I'm moving upwards on some kind of elevator." Help me." I breathe slowly trying to figure out where I was. But I -I can't remember. Standing up and the chained box came to a stop. I fall back against the chained box. My back hurts. As I looked up and saw light. Just then the box opened and I saw silhouettes of people forming around the box as the sunlight blinded my eyes. One of the silhouettes opened the chain chamber and jumped in. I stood up confused and blinded by all the lights around me. and realized it was a boy. Confused, I got up as" Hello, Greenie today is your day 1." He said as he helped me out as a field of wooden houses came into view. I was intrigued by the glory of fields and trees and I started running looking around." We got a runner" one of the boys shouted and I turned around and yelled. "What is this place?" observing my surroundings for the first time seeing ivy-covered walls.
After about an hour everyone got back to work and a guy named Alby came and told me what to do." So before you move up to a runner you are going to help Newt with jobs. I looked over as a blonde boy came over and said." Hello, I'm Newt you can call me whatever so basically come over let's go get started." I nodded and smiled and I instantly fell for him. Seeing as he was the only good looking blonde one I made up the name blondie. "Ok blondie, what do I need to do?" Alby laughed and nodded at Newt as he walked away to the hall of the keepers to get started on a plan." So first we are going to go and wrap around the leaves on this, then we are going to grab some fertilizer and dig a hole to place the fertilizer in." I smiled as I watched him demonstrate." I joke as I get up ." Nice job Blondie now my turn." As I wrap some leaves onto a wooden structure. Newt laughs as my hands get tangled in the vines '' let me help ''. I struggle to get the leaves twisted around as Newt comes beside me and helps me. I look at him and smile as he asks curiously."What's your name, can you remember?" I thought for a minute, ''What's my name? Why can't I remember?" I can't remember anything." Newt touched my shoulder and said with sympathy ." Don't worry you will remember in a day or two it just takes time greenie ." I nod as I continue doing my work concentrating. I look around to see the walls surrounding this grass field open up. "Come on Greenie, come meet the lead runner Minho ". I walk to see people run out of the wall. As they came past one of them stopped." Minho is the keeper of the runners". I nodded as Minho stopped to look me up and down then said." She could be some use that dash she made could be a sign to be a runner." I look at Newt and then back at Minho." Runner, what's a runner? I just woke up an hour ago and I don't even remember my own name so can we just slow down?".
Annoyed by what everyone's talking about, I headed down to the river to get some alone time as they were really getting on my nerves. Suddenly I was joined by a tall boy who seemed to be very relaxed ."Hey, I'm Gally .What's with your attitude today about being a runner." Annoyed, I stared at his face before laughing."What's with your eyebrows." Gally then looked at me chuckling. He handed me a shovel before standing up grabbing water from the stream he sternly said."Be careful running the maze is not easy people get stung. I think I remember you from somewhere but I don't know how." Confused, I stood up next to a tree ."Probably because I'm new here, you might think you know me but you don't." Walking off confused about how he would remember me but just brushing it off. Walking out of the forest Minho guided me back to where I was working as he saw I was lost.''Hey, shank seems like you're already getting lost." I shoved him .''Lost? I'm not lost, I just don't know which way is which." Minho just told me where to go and eventually I ended up back at the gardening place where Newt was sitting eating.
