It was dark outside. No sound was heard. The moon was up. If I would make it a perfect horror story you would hear a wolf howl. But there wasn't even a wolf. The trickster sat in a tree. Smiling. Enjoining the chaos he had created. Nothing made any sense anymore. He had fed everyone so many lies and everyone took them like they were starving of hunger. He chuckled slightly. Oh, how he had loved to play his little game. But every game had to come to an end. And he was ready for the final strike. He had 3 choices.
1. Leave everyone in chaos, they would never really know their enemy, they would never really know what had gotten them.
2. Leave them with strife. Leave them wondering what they did wrong. How he had gotten away. They would fight over it, they would never know why they weren't able to catch the fox. They would blame each other.
He loved all the three outcomes. But he had to chose one, he had to chose how he would play the final strike of his game. Void felt almost sad for winning. He loved the game, but it had to come to and end. And the end would be the last option. Option 3. He could play out one last trick. A trick that would destroy their little lives. A trick that would remind them once and for all that they just couldn't trick the trickster. And oh, how it would leave them in pain.
Void smirked and hummed slightly as he jumped at the ground. This would go lovely. No matter what they thought, at the end, he was still playing with all the strings. He called the Oni.
'Go get Keylee. I need to tell her something. Bring her to the hospital together with everyone else. I'll go wake Scott now.'
Scott opened his eyes. Everything smelled so familiar. He lied down on something. His bed, he was home? But how? He was in the animal clinic right?
'Oh Scott. How I loved out little game.' Void's voice suddenly filled his head. 'I'm sorry to say, but is has to come to an end. See. I absolutely love playing tricks on you but now I'm getting bored. So it's time for you to wake up.'
Scott turned around and saw that Void held out a gun, he quickly fired it on Scott. Scott stared at him wide eyed before he slowly fell down.
'W-wha-'
'Shhh, don't try to talk Scotty. There's wolfs bane in that beautiful silver bullet of mine. I mean, come on. Did you really think you could beat me? Now. I would say good night seeing you're dying but it's kinda ironic cause it's waking you up.'
Scott looked at him in confusion, the wound was stinging. The blood was coming through his shirt. He knew it wouldn't be able to heal. Before he could thing or do anything else he felt a sword piercing through him. It didn't hurt anymore. He knew the wound was deadly. He knew he was dying. He closed his eyes...
With a gasp he jumped up. His surroundings were once again different. White. A hospital. His mother lied down next to him. 'Mom?'
'Scott? Honey. Oh, I'm so glad you're okay. Something went terribly wrong. What's the last thing you remember?'
'V-void. He- He killed me.'
'No, no he didn't. You were all just unconscious.'
'All? It was just me.'
'What? No Scott. I'm talking about the rescue mission? In the woods?'
'No, we- we saved Keylee but- but then...'
'Scott...' Melissa observed her son carefully.'
'What's the date?'
'It, it was 21 when we were gonna rescue Keylee and two days passed so 23?'
'Scott. It's still 21. You were out for 2 hours.'
