Cuddles With Khonshu

 You were in your cabin, where nothing could hurt you, right? Where Khonshu was, and Achilles. He was your black poodle, who sometimes stole Khonshu's attention from you. Certainly, nothing could harm you here.

But as you were lying in bed your breath shook with every lightning strike and every thunder crash.

It seems unusual at your age that you should be able to face your fears, but you just couldn't. Since your mother had died in a fire from lightning that struck your house when you were a toddler, you were always afraid of those sickening storms.

" Y/N, are you okay? You seem troubled." Khonshu said in his usual gravely voice. You loved hearing him speak because it helped to calm you down.

" Yeah, I'm fine. Just feeling a little jumpy right now." You said, jumping at the sound of another strike from the window. Khonshu knelt right next to you on the mattress, and brushed a strand of hair from your face over your ear. he slowly pecked your cheek and cupped your face in his hands.

" Love, I have known you for long enough to know when you're not okay. And knows the time. So that means, " he said, getting under the cover with you, " That I will try my best efforts to comfort you." Khonshu grabbed a boom from the bedside table and began flipping through the pages, whilst Achilles sat on him. You are in gratitude that he came in and comforted you, but you are still frightened.

You grabbed Khonshu's waist and pulled him in an embrace and cuddled up to him. You sighed into his chest and fell asleep while he was massaging the small of your back, humming softly to you. Before you drifted off to sleep, you almost caught him saying something to you, but you were too sleepy to notice what.
