I sat on the couch cuddling my knees, I felt emotionless. I didn't feel anything, I just sat there staring at the wall thinking. Johnny was right. what the hell was I thinking? I'm so stupid, can't I just mind my own business. With that Two-bit burst threw the door.
"Hey" I said looking up at him.
"Hey, where have you been?" He said calmly.
"I went home and got my clothes then came back here"
"Are you forgetting something?" He questioned.
"What are you on about?" I asked him
"You went to Johnny's house" he said plainly.
"Oh yeah" I replied
"Johnny told us, he was real sorry for yelling at you. he just really cares about you"
"NO" I screamed.
"What?" Two-bit asked.
"HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ME" I continued.
"Yes he does"
"No he doesn't, you should have heard the way he spoke to me. He does not care about me!" I said and with that I went to my room.
When I woke up I had a cold, probably from walking through the rain. I had to go to my first day of school. I had decided this for myself that I would go to school today! I was excited and scared. I got dressed and told Two-bit I was going to school before leaving. I walked in a peaceful silence to school with no trouble or drama.
When I arrived at school I went to the office. The lady told me everything I needed to know and then she showed me my locker. After she left I placed my books in my locker. When I turned around I saw Johnny and Ponyboy standing not too far away. Before they could see me I took off, but they must have noticed me.
"Hey Emily I need to talk to you" Johnny yelled. I turned around and Johnny was right there followed by Ponyboy.
"Emily I'm sor-"
"Save it" I said holding my hand in his face while cutting him off.
"I don't want to hear it. I was just trying to help." I said my hand still in his face. with that I turned around and walked away.
I went to homeroom only to see Ponyboy was in my homeroom. This shouldn't be too bad. I sat down at a desk and he sat down next to me.
"Hey" he said looking at me.
"hi" I replied with a grin. The day was so much fun with Ponyboy. He walked me home holding my books for me. How sweet! Before I went inside my house Pony stopped me.
"Look you need to forgive Johnny, just give it some time. You can't shut him out, he like you and I think you have a soft spot for him" Pony said smirking. I had to smile at that to.
"Alright. bye and thanks for walking me home" I said before shutting the door and throwing my bag across the room.
