Legends of Evermore { PILOT }

Prologue

( Side note that this series is fantasy based. You may know a therein but an etherin is a human mixed with an certain animal hybrid. Kinda the same- BUT There are two types of looks for them but it will be explained later on in the book, same with a creature I've invented named an Alaxian. )

"Catherine! The mail came in!" A small squeaky voice spoke. A door opened as a little girl close to pre-teen age with black hair and a pony tail tide to the side of her hair while the rest of her black hair was loose and short, walked out of her bedroom door, she looked down at her little sister who was a different species, As Catherine was a half elf while her sister was an etherien. Her little sister's peach-ish hair glew in the  sun's light as she grabbed the mail from her little book bag. Catherine grabbed the rapped newspaper and slightly opened as she was interrupted by her sister "What is it? Open it!" The small girl spoke with her ears twitching in curiosity. "Hold on Niko." Catherine spoke holding her hand on Niko's head stopping the small girl from being nosy and seeing what it was, Niko took one look at the paper and realized it was a newspaper. "Bleh! Adult things!" Niko spat.

Catherine scoffed and patted her head and looked at the newspaper reading it afterwards "Wait! Uh...actually I'm curious! What does it say?" Niko asked walking a bit towards her sister, Catherine sighed "One of the main villages to the kingdom burnt down. They don't know who did it but it was done by someone." Catherine responded to her sister's question as she placed down the newspaper for there older sister to see. "Hey, why did you put it down? It might have had some cool pictures i wanted to see!" Niko shouted a small bit "obviously for Ray to see, dummie." Catherine responded to again another question. "Awhh, but Ray hasn't been here for the pass few days ever since going with her friend! It isn't fair!" The girl pouted, Catherine rolled her eyes and shook her head. "She'll come back soon, it's not like she's dead." Catherine suggested with a stern look.

"Ok!...but, actually thinking about it...this can't be another war between  the other tribes! I mean that happened years ago our queen fixed it by separating the tribes in separate kingdoms!" Niko spoke slightly with positivity. Catherine shook her head "it doesn't stop others from ruining the peace we have now. Besides..a lot of kingdoms are hiding secrets. We don't know what will happen in the future.
