I slowly walked towards stairs trying not make anyone aware about my presence.

Its 7 in the morning and I just came back from the office. Yes, that means I didn't came back yesterday due to some work in office.

I already got strict intimations from my maa that I should be back by 7 in the evening but here I am back at 7 but now is morning, so I decided to sneak in without getting notice.

When I was about to climb the stairs, I felt someone drawing my ear and I know who is it, I mentally cursed myself before moving to her direction.

"I am sorry maa"

"What's the time now?", She asked

"I know maa, I am sorry. Something important came up". I said her in a pleading tone.

"Oh so, you were so busy that you didn't got time to inform me". She replied

"Please, this time. I promise I'll inform you onwards", I said her.

And finally, she smiled.

"Ok, go then you look tired. Get some rest and no office tomorrow", said her.

"What no, there is so much work pending", I crossed her.

"You should have thought about this before coming late, I already warned you that if you came late you have to face consequences", she replied.

"Dad! Tell your wife if I didn't go to office then we will be bankrupt", I said to my dad, who was reading newspaper while sitting on a dinning chair.

"Well, Young man I've already gone through this now its your turn", he replied while looking at newspaper.

I just huffed and started climbing the stairs when my maa spoke again.

"Taking off from office, doesn't mean to open the office at home. Go straight to sleep. If I found you working then the one-day leave will extend to 1 week",

She is so smart; she knew my mind. I listened to her words and directly went to sleep, since I was tired by working for 24 hrs straight.

"Aryan, beta wake up",

"You can sleep after your dinner",

It was my mom.

"I'll come down in 15 minutes", I replied her in sleepy tone.

"Fine, come fast. We need to tell you something", with that she left.

I went to washroom and come back after getting fresh. I went downstairs and settled at my place in dining room.

After having dinner. I went in living room along with my brother and dad and uncle

After some business talk, my mother and Chachi (aunt), Neeti di and Sia Bhabhi came and sat on empty sofa.

"Aryan, we decided Neeti's wedding date", my mother said with excitement.

"Oh, that's good", I replied.

Neeti di is my cousin. She is elder than me. She is very good sister and sometimes behave like my mother but I don't mind. She is already engaged and to be honest Raj bhai is so fun. He is my sister's fiancé. They both are very good together. You'll get to know about them when they'll come together.
