Team DonDon Family headcanons and scenarios!

Headcanon 4: Cuddles and other stuff too-

1. After such a long day of adventures or when one of them is in dire need of physical contact or just feeling extremely clingy. (well mainly it's both of them, but Donut's the clingy one) Donny and Donut would either flop themselves on the couch or on the bed and would just cuddle for either a few hours or just the whole day. 

Donut's the big spoon and Donny's the little spoon most of the time, other times they'd switch cuddling positions. Donut's tail would wrap around Donny's waist, while Donny's wings are big enough to wrap around the two. Donny would lay his head against Donut's chest while wrapping his legs around the other's waist. This makes them both feel safer.

Sometimes Baby Leah and Baby Max would join in their cuddle party after waking up from their nap, baby blankets, and teddy bears and all, and would lay in between their brothers as they cuddled together. 

When Baby Max is in need of cuddles, he'd reach his hands out to Donny or Donut, and make two grabbing motions with both of his hands. Both of them would pick him up and would cradle him into whichever cuddling position they were in before. With Baby Leah, however, she'd just climb onto the bed or couch and would scooch herself between Donny and Donut, she doesn't mind getting a little squished and loves it when either of the two would brush her hair with their fingers.

2. I can just imagine a certain point in time when Donny's hair would get long enough, it would get very matted and knotty. So Donut would casually brush it for him, while Donny would just sit and complain and whine about how much it hurts, ending with a tiny braid to be made by Donut in the end.

Donny would allow the babies to stick different things and shiny blue-themed accessories into his shoulder-length hair, and Donut would be the first to see it, and the two would laugh about it and would take memorable pictures with either their phones or a polaroid camera. They'd hang the pictures on the toy room wall, the babies' bedroom Donny's bedroom, and Donut's room too.

3. Donut would take Donny out and they'd venture out every single summer night, far away from the kingdom to a hill that the two would roll down as kids, which is next to huge endless fields, and would lay down on the grass next to each other and would stargaze and talk about life. 

The next thing that Donut would do, he'd grab Donny's hand, and they'd roll down together, landing in the field. Once they helped each other to their feet, Donut would take Donny's hand again, and they'll run through the field's long grass, releasing a whole bunch fireflies as they continued running. Endless squeals and shrieks of laughter can be heard from either of them.

4. Since these two are practically platonic husbands (in my view of course lol) which started as a joke between them both, which then turned official. I can envision them both wearing something to symbolize that. They each have "wedding bands" on each of their ring fingers. Both wedding bands are black gold lined with jewels, Donny's being a pattern of sapphires and royal blue sapphires, the charm in a shape of a dog bone. Donut's wedding band charm would have a pattern of orange sapphires and rubies in the shape of a prince's crown.

They'd both picked out the designs of the bands for each other, and had them specially made by Zena the local weaponsmith, who was honored to make them. In their "vows" Donut promised Donny to protect him at all costs, to always be loyal to him, and stay with him through the thick and thin, nurturing Donny through it all. Even devoting his own life, just for Donny to be safe. Donny promised Donut that he would be there for him, to always protect him as well, to be honest, and to always stay devoted and faithful to Donut forever and always.

5. Because of their very close bond, Donny and Donut are soul-bound to one another. Meaning when one dies, the other has to deal with a heavy amount of painful grief in their wake. Each time the person dies, the grief gets worse and worse, eventually, the person dealing with said grief will die of a broken heart.

Meaning, that when Donny died the second time in the Family Life series, Donut could feel everything that Donny felt, his feelings of endless sadness, endless pain, and his longing for mercy, and be set free in his heart and soul. Like a part of him had gone missing. Whenever Donny and Donut would hang out together, their bond grows stronger and stronger, it even stays that way even when apart.

6. Donut adores the feeling of Donny's wings being wrapped around him, or just seeing them in general. He loves the look of them when the sunlight hits each feather just right, how big and fluffy they are. He knows that he has to be very careful with them since Donny's wings are really sensitive due to the number of times Donny had binded them away before finding out about them. Donut is the only one that Donny trusts when to look after them if the prince had gotten injured somehow, to preen them when needed, even when Donny gets overwhelmed by his insecurities and his trauma and would try to bind them again. Donut would endlessly remind Donny about how beautiful he is to him, and that he doesn't have to hide away from the world due to insecurities. He reminds the prince of how far he's come and how strong and brave he's become.

7. Donut would constantly hold the prince in his arms, as he listened to his constant teary-eyed rambling. They'd sit on the couch or in whichever corner of any room Donny would sit at when on the verge of a panic attack. Donut would console him by wrapping his arms around Donny when he was calm enough to be hugged or cuddled. Rubbing his back in a gentle motion, tangling his fingers in the prince's hair, and would hold his hands in his, using his thumbs and rubbing them in a calming motion. Keeping Donny's head close to his chest, using his steady heartbeat as a tool for Donny to use to calm his rapid breathing. Placing his hands on Donny's tear-stained face, and would wipe away his tears, their foreheads touching.
