The morning came and I really don't know what to do. Should I go inside the room right now? Or should I go in later and be late for the first class.

I'm still embarrassed from all the happenings with Red yesterday. When I think about that encounter with him under the tree, I'll flushed furiously.

I didn't even got enough sleep because of that.

Wow Lauren Eunice. Two days of having lack of sleep. Let's have a slow clap for that. My subconscious scolded me sarcastically.

I didn't even notice that I was staring at the classroom door for too long until I felt someone standing beside me.

I was shocked to see that it was Red. He was staring at the door too.

I startled when he suddenly spoke, "I wonder what's so interesting with the door that you made eye contact with. Hmmm...." He said while tilting his head to the side and rubbing his chin like he was really thinking deeply.

"What?" I said, taken aback.

"Or maybe you had a staring contest with the door? Is it fun?" he asked coolly while putting his hand through his pocket and then looked at me.

"What are you talking about? I'm not having a staring contest with the freaking door! I'm not crazy, you fool." I exclaimed without even looking at him.

I opened the door and then started to walk inside the room. But before I could get inside, I heard him laugh.

I just shaked my head and shrugged.

"I'm not the crazy one here, he is. But whatever, talking to him is just futile." I mumbled while putting my backpack on the side of my chair.

As I waited for our adviser to arrive, I saw Red coming inside together with Mrs. Gomez.

I watched Red sitting beside me and he suddenly winked at me.

I groaned and then looked away.

He's at it again. Damn him and his winks. I mentally rolled my eyes.

I just put my attention to Mrs. Gomez.

While she was busy explaining about this upcoming event in our school, I can't help but to get sleepy.

But before I can finally close my eyes, I felt someone poking my cheeks.

I opened my eyes and saw Red's annoying face smiling at me.

I ignored him and shifted on my seat to seat to face the window beside me.

While I was busy drowning myself looking at the sight outside the window, I felt a finger poking on my shoulders.

"What?!" I shouted at him, getting annoyed.

I didn't even noticed that everyone's attention was paid into us, including Mrs. Gomez.

"Yes, Mrs. Nightingale? Is there something you want to say to the class?" Mrs. Gomez asked me calmly.

"Y-yes Maam?" I stutterly asked.

She was looking at expectedly, waiting for me to answer.

But before I could explain myself, I saw Red raising his right hand which diverted Mrs. Gomez' attention to him.

"Maam, I heard Lauren saying that she wants to join the singing competition but she was just shy to suggest herself a while ago." He said while having a smug on his face.

I look at him wide-eye with my mouth hanging open. Sock was written all over my face. I mean like what the hell?!

"Oh you don't need to be shy Ms. Nightingale. We really need participants for the singing contest. Thank you for telling us Mr. Drewson." Mrrs. Gomez said beamingly.
