The age gap is almost the same as Sontails, that's one of the reasons I ship other things more than Silvails.
I mean, if it's an AU it's fine but.. something just doesn't feel right when you age up a character for a ship..
Personally Silvails is cute, but problematic.
Where my opinion stands: somewhere in between shipping it and not shipping it.
