"the most merciful, i believe that i still have the chance to pay for my sins. please, have mercy on me!" yeonjun kneeled once again on the cold white ceramic floor, his eyes were fixed on the ground.

"you always do, angel." He shortly replied, which made yeonjun tried to look up but when he lifted his head, his eyes were met with a pair of angels who guarded the door to the earth.

"make sure you repent your sins and make up for your mistakes, angel choi. goodluck, for now." one of the angels reminded and gave yeonjun a fainted smile which yeonjun politely returned.

"here we go, off to earth-"

"wait, wait! choi yeonjun!" yeonjun and both of the guarding angels of earth turned to look at the gasping beomgyu after running off to see yeonjun for the last time.

"yah, why are you here?" yeonjun was more worried looking at how terrible beomgyu looked, his hair was sweaty and his eyes were red. yeonjun didn't want to see this eerie image of beomgyu anymore, it hurt him a lot.

"how could i not be here? yah, i love you. i love you, choi yeonjun." beomgyu cried out and immediately hugged the taller. yeonjun recognised the kind of love that beomgyu meant, it was neither romance nor friendship. it was an attachment, thousand of years with beomgyu sure sounded like they were each other's fate. beomgyu wasn't ready to lose him, nor yeonjun, but he had to be strong for the sake of beomgyu.

"it's okay beomgyu-ah, i'll be back later, but if i take longer than you expected, please don't wait for me. please don't always think about me. instead, take this with you and always think that i'm by your side like always." yeonjun pulled out from the hug and handed beomgyu his angel stick that he used to carry all the time. yeonjun's invisible angel wings started to reveal themselves in front of the other angels.

departure. ready for departure.

the angels quickly got it, when angels spread their wings, they were totally ready to fly off to somewhere for missions or penalties like yeonjun.

"thank you, i will keep this with me all the time, be safe and promise me you will come back, angel choi." beomgyu grabbed yeonjun's stick and caressed it gracefully before he looked again at yeonjun with a teary smile.

"i am coming back for sure, but now i'm off to fix everything. take care, beomgyu-ah." yeonjun smiled before his wings spread wider to fly off into the door of earth. the guarding angels signalled yeonjun that he was allowed to make his step into the earth.

"i'll see you later, angel choi." yeonjun last said while looking straight into beomgyu's eyes before stepping into the door of earth.

beomgyu closed his eyes for a moment, and when he opened his eyes again, yeonjun was gone and the door to earth was close shut.

beomgyu quickly realized that yeonjun has left for real, he immediately fell onto his knees while hugging yeonjun's stick close to his chest. beomgyu let his mouth made a silent cry as the other two angels were still there.

it broke his heart like crazy to see yeonjun off. well, he didn't plan it at first because he knew he would be this broken. but, he wanted to be the last angel yeonjun talked to before leaving, because that was how special their relationship.

"t-thank you for coming, soobin-ah." an old lady with a black dress wiped her tears with the already soaked in tears tissue.well everyone was dressing in black including soobin on that day. it was soobin's best friend of 10 years funeral.

best friend.

that was the term soobin told everyone, but the truth is hyuka is more than just a friend.

only both of them knew.

"h-how can i be absent on hyuka- i mean my dearest friend's funeral, eomeonim?" soobin couldn't hold back his tears anymore, the man whom he would kiss every morning, made the worst breakfast in bed and made out with after every argument they had, had gone.

gone for good.

"i know right, you were always there with him, even the day before he g-gone..." mrs. heuning cried more, this time soobin handed her more tissues.

"here, eomeonim." mrs. heuning quickly accepted the tissue soobin offered. soobin could see hyuka's whole family mourning over his death in the room filled with flowers, banners and a huge frame of hyuka.

he walked slowly to the room, but he couldn't manage himself to get into the room so he just stared at hyuka's face on the frame.

he was still beautiful.

soobin thought the facial features hyuka had was just significant to only him. the face that he saw everyday in the class, in the field and even in the bedrooms.

they were lovers.

but soobin lost him earlier than he expected. soobin got teary again looking at the frame, so he made his way out of the funeral hall. on his way out, he bumped into his other friend, arin.

"soobin," the look that arin gave, she knew it.

arin was the only friend of soobin that knew about his relationship with hyuka. and soobin appreciated that arin had never really cared to tell anyone.

"hang in there, i know it's hard-"

soobin quickly pulled arin into a hug and cried his eyeballs out. at this moment, he needed someone. he really needed someone or at least a shoulder to cry on.

yeonjun tried to open his eyes but it hurt a lot, he felt like he had been stitched, or he really did?

"yunjinnie?"

"yunjinnie, are you awake?"

yeonjun heard a soft voice calling his name, but he couldn't manage to open his eyes fully so he went only halfway.

"yeobo! our yunjinnie has opened her eyes!"

yeonjun saw a middle-aged lady was cheering, and footsteps incoming from outside the room. the room however, was too girly, everything was pink.

but then he just realized...

why the lady called him 'yunjinnie'?
