"Y/n!" I'd called. I'd thought I saw her, but then the little girl that could've been Y/n, ran away. I frowned worriedly. We hadn't had any luck finding her yet and I could tell the others were getting agitated.

"Where could she possibly be?" Jinyoung asked, running a hand through his hair.

"Seoul's such a big city, she could be anywhere!" Mark sighed, frustrated. The maknaes were getting restless, too, and not in their typical 'up-to-no-good' restless. No, restless as in, even they were stressed out as heck.

"Hyung, do you think she ran away?" Our typically mischievous maknae whispered, coming up to me, his young face close to tears.

"Why would she run away?" I asked, hiding what I truly thought. Y/n probably had run away. I remembered asking her about Bangtan and her face when I'd did. It'd flashed sadly, nervous, almost. Then Hoseok and Namjoon had that conversation and we lost Y/n at the same, it was certainly possible that she'd heard them then ran away. In fact, it was most likely.

I could tell Yugyeom was trying hard not to panic and I was thankful that he couldn't think enough to piece it together. "You sure?" He asked quietly, head down, but eyes tilted up.

I smiled, forcing the grin on my face. "Of course I'm sure, Gyeomie. She has literally no reason to run away." I was glad RM hadn't told any of the maknaes, not even in BTS because they would've told Yugyeom and BamBam, which meant Y/n did have a reason to run away, if she'd misinterpreted it.

Hmm, maybe I should've phrased what I'd said differently. Now Yugyeom looked the slightest bit suspicious. Slightest.

A loud ring rang through the air, and my phone started buzzing in my pocket. I fumbled around for a second, trying to get my phone out and picked up, raising a hand up to tell the others to wait for a second.

"Hello?" I asked, though I knew it was Namjoon.

"Jackson, thank goodness," He sighed in relief. "Have you found her yet?"

I ran a hand through my hair and sighed as well, just not in relief. "We haven't, Namjoon-ah. I swear I saw her for a second, though, but she ran away."

"She ran?" He asked, frustrated.

"Well, I'm not one hundred percent sure it was her, but, yeah, she ran." I paused thinkingly.

"Actually, now that I think about it, I'm sure it was her. I called her name and then she ran."

"So you think she ran away?" Namjoon questioned frantically, and I could tell his panic was rising. He gasped suddenly, and asked, "Do you think she heard Hobi and I's conversation."

I sighed reluctantly and said, "Yeah, I think so. You're not in the same room as them, right? It'd be trash if they knew."

There was silence on the other end as Namjoon, I assumed, looked around. I heard a breath being blown out as he returned to the phone. "Yeah, they're not here. Our managers don't know either, thankfully. And, about that..."

"Yeah?" I prodded, though I dreaded the answer.

"BangPD..." He sighed hard, and I imagined he's scrubbing his face right now. "Told-no, ordered us to not look for Y/n."

A beat. Then,

"WHAT?!" I screamed into the phone. "Are you freaking serious?!"

"Woah, woah, woah, Jackson, what happened?" Jinyoung asked, though I didn't pay any attention.

"I-yes, I'm afraid so," Namjoon whispered, voice bleak. I didn't care.

"How could you let him do that?!" I yelled. I didn't care that I'd spent only a couple hours with Y/n-I already had a fondness for her.

"You don't understand, Jackson, it's not as simple as that-" RM started.

"What do you mean by that?!?!" I yelled again. "Just ignore it!! Go look for her! Don't you care about her?!" I ran another angry hand through my hair.

"Hyung!" Yugyeom yelped. I'd scared the maknae. Crap. I waved a hand at him, telling him everything was fine. It wasn't.

"Of course I do, Jackson! I've known her for a month now, Jackson. You think I don't care? OF COURSE I CARE!!! Namjoon gasped for breath, and I realized that he was even more torn up about this thank I was. He was leader, he had to make all the decisions, and it was killing him to do so. But he had to. To keep earning money so they can even survive.

"I-crap, Namjoon, I'm so sorry. Of course you care. I-I'm sorry," I stuttered, shaking my head and cursing at my own foolishness. I was a mess. Honestly, I shouldn't care this much-I just met her-but I did. She was such a sweet, hopeful, young girl, I missed her already.

"Hyung...?" Yugyeom asked tentatively. "Are you alright?" I turned away from the phone.

"I'm fine, Yugyeom-ah, no need to worry." I smiled, or, at least, tried to smile (it was pretty shaky). I turned back to the phone.

"I'm so sorry, Namjoon. We'll keep looking, I promise." This time, determination laced my voice. "She won't feel unwanted anymore, I swear it. We'll bring her back to you guys."
