[Third Person P.O.V.]

"Wakiya... I can't believe it. I'm starting to think that this is all real..." Ken mumbles, holding his puppets together. "I think you have a point." Rantaro says, trying not to look at the body in front of him. It was drastically displayed, Wakiya's pale body on the floor, blood dripping from his forehead and onto the floor, and the smile that Wakiya had stuck on his face made it even worse.

Valt was lost in his thoughts. He didn't even care about looking at the body. He bit his lip as he remembered what Red Eye, or this time, more like Shu had said:

"If you do, don't think that I will leave you here to rot. "

"I still can't believe that Red Eye is Shu. I mean, if he was behind this the whole time, does that mean that he killed Daigo and Wakiya on purpose? Or was it Ashtem ordering him to do so?" Rantaro asks to nobody in particular. Ken stands from the floor and throws his puppets next to Wakiya. Valt finally comes back to his senses. "What are you doing?" Valt asks. He had never seen Ken throw Keru and Besu.

"I don't need them. Let's go." He simply replies. The others look at each other and nod.

[...]

By the time noon had arrived, they hadn't gotten another riddle. The rooms seemed to change on by one, but the differences were so miniscule that even they couldn't spot it. They kept on.

"Hey, Honcho, doesn't this room seem more...hypnotizing?" Valt asks. He receives no response. "Ken? Honcho?" When Valt turns to see if the others were there, he found two corpses. Dead bodies of his friends were on the floor. Valt gasps and steps back. The bodies were moving forward towards him, crawling on the floor every so slowly. "Ah!" Valt yells, turning around to run, but instead, he is received by a pair of arms.

When he looked up, he saw the person. It wasn't somebody alive. It was Daigo, and he had a knife in his heart. "Ahh! Oh God... Help!" The bluenette screams trying to get away from the person's grip.

"Valt, Valt, calm down!"

Valt stops moving. That was Shu's voice. He opened his eyes slowly, his sight being blinded by tears which slowly rolled down his cheeks. The mirage he had seen was gone, the bodies behind him weren't there, and Daigo wasn't in front of him. It was just his imagination. Instead,

Shu was the one holding him in his arms.

"Shu...? Oh, Shu!" Valt cries, hugging the taller person. It was his best friend, his real  best friend, not the Shu that turned into Red Eye. Shu had his usual clothes, pink shirt, black tie and vest, and black jeggings. "Hey, calm down! What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asks, trying to comfort the bluenette. "I-I saw our friends, d-dead! A-And....wait, how are you here?! Oh my God, I missed you so much!"

Valt confesses, hugging Shu tighter and feeling his cheeks burn as he blushed. Shu's eyes widened as he bit his lip. "You were just hallucinating. I didn't see them. Shh.." He whispers, hearing how Valt cried even louder. Shu's hands ruffled Valt's hair and calmed him down. Valt finally took a deep breath and sighed into the albino's chest.

He looked up and suddenly reality punched him in the face.

That wasn't Shu. That was Red Eye.

What the heck is going on??? Am I hallucinating? This is a nightmare! Valt thought as Red Eye smiled. Valt closed his eyes and rubbed them with his knuckles. When he opened them again, Red Eye wasn't there. "Phew... At least it's over." He mumbles to himself, until he felt a pair of lips rest on his ear. "Valt..."
