Third person POV
It was just a normal Friday afternoon on Evergreen Lane. All the adults were doing their own thing. Mowing their lawns, getting their mail, doing their chores done, or just watching TV. The kids, however, were still in school. Infact, it was lunch time where they were. Just another boring day for anyone else, but to the kids, it was like a god sent gift. The weekend began tomorrow and then, it was winter break. Two weeks off of school, an amazing thing. "If only the day wasn't dragging by! Why does it seem like the clocks go slower on the weekends?" Kiki asked, sitting down at a random lunch table in the middle of the cafeteria. "Right?! Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me." Ben said, sitting down in front of her. "Everything's a conspiracy theory to you Logan." Ricky rolled his eyes as a tease as he sat next to his girlfriend. "Because everything's suspicious!" Ben countered. "Sure." Kiki dragged out. "Whatever doubters. Just you watch, one day an Alian is going to show up here and who's going to be the only one who believed they existed? That's right, me." Ben bragged. "Umm...Ms. Kiki?" A voice came from the side. Kiki looked over with a smile to see a freshman standing there. "I was wondering if I could get a picture with you?" she asked. Kiki's smile widened. "Of course, love." She spoke standing up and hugging the girl as she took a few photos of them. "Awesome, thank you so much!" She squealed walking away. "No problem!" Kiki said sitting back down.
Kiki's POV
"So, how many of them have asked you for pictures today?" Ricky asked, eating the pizza on his tray. "She makes 57." I said, picking out any tomatoes and carrots out of my salad. "How do you do that? Do you not get tired of being popular?" ben asked. I looked at Ricky and looked back to ben with a chuckle. "Not really. it gives me a chance to see more people and get to know the freshman's better. Not to mention, on my permeant record it will say that I'm well liked and get along well with others." I spoke. "Oh, are we all still on for the sleepover tonight?" I asked, moving to my pizza. "You know it." Ricky smiled. "Yeah, I just have to walk my dog then I'll be over." Ben said. We all nodded. Suddenly, Ricky gasped. "What?" Me and Ben asked in sync. "TRAVIS! TRAVIS!" Ricky yelled, standing up smiling and waving my brother over. "TRAVIS, COME ON." Ricky laughed.
I looked over at Trvis to see him standing alone, his backpack on his back, a tray in his hands and his head down. I giggled. Poor baby is embarrassed. I thought to myself. He walked over slowly, speeding up when He got closer. "What did you do that for?" He mumbled, standing in front of Ricky. "Come on, I can't sit with my favorite kid?" Ricky asked, fixing Travis's light weight green denim jacket. Travis sighed. "Okay first off, You guys are sophomores in high school. I'm a Middle school boy in the seventh grade. I'm not allowed over here. Second....I'm kinda hiding from someone and you yelling my name isn't helping my case." Travis said looking around. "Who are you hiding from?" Ricky asked looking around. "Oh Travis? ~" Someone called out. I saw Travis's eye widen and he put his tray on the table and ducked down really fast, hiding under the table.
I looked at Ricky and Ben confused. We all saw a group of three boys walk by and one stopped at our table. "Do you know when a boy named Travis is?" a guy with brown hair and green eyes asked. he was wearing a black leather jacket with a red and black shirt and dark blue skinny jeans. We all looked at each other and I saw Rickys jaw clench. He was getting mad. Did they do something to Travis? Is that why he's hiding? "Nope, sorry." I spoke. The boy nodded and walked out of the cafeteria.
I looked under the table to see Travis sitting there with a relieved face. 'You're good Trav." I spoke quietly. He crawled out from under the table and sat down next to Ricky. "So, why were you hiding from those boy-...s." Ricky asked, stopping for a second as he examined Travis face. "Why do you have a black eye?" he asked. My head snapped up and I took His face into my hands. My acrylic nails almost poking his eye. There was indeed a bruise forming that would later turn into a black eye. "They did it didn't they." Ricky said. It wasn't a question; it was a statement. Travis silence only conformed Rickys suspicion. "Those little-" Ricky started, standing up and going to find those boys. That was his plan until Travis grabbed the back of his football jacket and sat him down again. "Just leave it. You'll only cause more problems for me." he mumbled quietly. Ricky looked at me, worried. "Hey Trav, did you dye a strand on your hair?" Bed asked, pointing out the strand of white hair mixed in with his natural ginger color. "I did that!" I smiled. "Looks cool." Ricky grumbled.
