Silence filled the room as you both had said what you had to say. It was nothing major really, just an argument that is a process all couples tend to have. It would be very weird if there were never any. Giyuu pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration as he struggled with comprehending your point of view any longer. All that could be heard was the sound of quiet rain sprinkling along the windows of your shared home. You bit your lip in hopes to hold back your tears only for them to slowly end up streaming down your face. You quickly wiped them away, hoping he hadn't seen but it was too late. His frustration quickly left him as his eyes widened from simply just seeing tears come out of your eyes. He hates it when you cry, especially if it is because of him. And with that, before he could say anything you gathered yourself up, got your keys, grabbed the closest sweater you could reach from your closet and with that walked out the door without saying a word. Leaving a quiet Giyuu behind the door.

It was cold. There wasn't much rain anymore but you quickly got in the car and harshly sat down in the driver's seat. "Now what?" You thought to yourself as you silently sat down to take a breather and fix yourself up using the rear view mirror. People tend to make bad decisions whenever feeling an emotion so strongly. And because you aren't the type to make a decision in the heat of the moment, you've decided to sit and think for a second. From the argument earlier you were wrong in this case because as much as you hate to say it, you were wrong while Giyuu was right. Doing what you were planning on doing would get you hurt which is something Giyuu is highly against. And after spending some time sitting in the car as it quietly sprinkled outside you know that you'll have to admit defeat. It would be weird to suddenly go back home after just a few minutes of not going anywhere. So a little reward won't hurt."I'm craving donuts..."

——

Back at home Giyuu was stressed out. He was not sure where you had gone but was consumed by guilt for being the reason you had left with tears streaming down your face. As much as he wanted to go after you he respected the fact that you deserve some space for now. With that said he went to take a shower.

Timeskip~

Now that you had gotten rid of your cravings you had parked in the driveway. You grabbed the bag that contained the donuts and quickly ran towards the door as your cold fingers were in search of your keys. You didn't even get the chance to unlock the front door as the doorknob was suddenly twisted causing the door to fling open. And there he was, Giyuu's once worried face softened at the sight of you being back home. He moved aside as you silently walked in and placed the bag on the counter top and headed towards the bathroom to take a shower. He stood there watching your every movement until you went into the bathroom. His eyes then trailed towards the bag of donuts you had brought in before gently closing the door and locking everything up for the night.

You had just finished brushing your teeth after getting out of the shower and blow drying your hair and got on your bed and under the covers with your pajamas. It felt as if you were still outside in the cold rain. Giyuu had just gotten in the bathroom to also brush his teeth. So now all that was left to do was wait.

Giyuu gently opened the bathroom door and flipped the switch to turn off the light. He stood there studying you for a bit, wondering when would it be the best time to apologize but it seemed like you were fast asleep which led him to promise to apologize to you in the morning. He silently walked towards his side of the bed and layed down, facing away from you just like you were to him, back to back. It felt like hours of dead silence before Giyuu decided to begin shutting his eyes until he heard your soft, gentle voice. "I'm sorry." It was a quiet whisper that could almost go unheard but not by Giyuu himself. He looked back at you before completely turning his body around as he saw you gently wipe the tears from your face that abruptly decided to fall once again. "You were right. Sorry I didn't listen to you..." you said as you slightly hid under the covers. The sound of light rain from outside had stopped a little while ago making you think that he had already fallen asleep. That was until strong arms wrapped around your waist and slowly pulled you closer into a tight hug from behind. "It's okay (First name), I am sorry too" he whispered as he gently turned you around and made you face him. He brought up his hand to wipe the tears from your face before placing a small kiss on your forehead. And suddenly it was warm again.
