Her Peculiar

Prologue

"Mahal mo pa ba yon?"

"Di na, Tin." I answered.

"Eh di pumunta ka bukas. Nandito naman ako eh. Bestfriend kita. Hindi kita iiwan if ever hindi ka maging okay kapag nakita mo siya."

She is convincing me to attend our friend's party tomorrow. Si Danica. Birthday kasi niya. She was our friend back when we were still in college. Kilalang tao yun kaya hesitant ako pumunta kasi for sure, lahat sa batch namin, invited. Until now, friend pa rin naman kami. Naputol nga lang communication namin kasi iba't iba na yung daang tinatahak namin.

"Sige na punta na tayo. Ako bahala sa dress mo. Di mo na kailangan mag make up kasi maganda ka na non pa. Walang kupas, Luna." She's smiling while saying that.

I smiled as I listened to her. Si tin, napakabait niyan na bestfriend. I am so grateful that she was there since day 1. No man is an island, ika nga nila. I am independent pero gusto ko may Tin. Kaya ko mag isa pero gusto ko nandyan si mama.

"Sus. Itong babaeng talaga to, oo. Nambola pa talaga." I rolled my eyes while laughing.

"Hoy di ah. Totoo yan no. Hindi ka pa rin ba aware?"

"Na alin?"

"Na maganda ka!"

"I know already, Tin." She glared at me and we both laughed so hard. Nako itong babaeng talaga to, ang kulit.

"Halika ka nga dito, hug kita."

She hugged me while tapping my back. For at least two minutes, a heavy silence filled the room.

"Na forgive mo na?" She asked.

I sighed as I hugged her tighter.

Ang hirap pala. Akala ko noon, madaling magpatawad. Pero sa mga nagdaang taon, I realized that it's not easy to forgive someone, especially if they don't ask for it. It's hard to forgive someone who isn't sorry.

"Magiging okay ka. Kaya mo yan."

"I know. Tatlong sessions nalang sa Doctor, I will be okay. I promise you, Tin." I breathe deeply.
