Clementine

Introduction

A/n: you don't have to read this it basically just gives you some background information about Clementine and her family :) Also please leave suggestions on things I can do to fix this!

This story is about a young girl named Clementine Barker whose mother Malia Barker mysteriously died in a supposed
car crash. She died on May 23, 2006. This happened when Clementine was barely 10 years old and yet she always had a feeling something wasn't right. Soon after her mother's passing her father decided to take her in. Originally she lived with her mother and her father James Gunn in Washington. But when Clem was around 6 her father started drinking and smoking. This led to many arguments between both Malia and James. Eventually, on July 19, 2003, Malia filed for a divorce and both of them sighed the paper.

Clementine was devastated to hear that her parents were splitting apart because she still loves both equally. But the decision had to come where she had to choose who to stay with. Obviously, this was a very hard choice for a 7-year-old but she chose her mother. James ultimately knew Clementine was going to choose Malia so he didn't fight back to gain custody over her.

Yes, James and she still kept in touch over messages and phone calls but it was never the same as when she was younger. Her father moved to Oregon to start a new, fresh, life and things were going pretty good for him to say the least. However, he was surprised to hear the news of his ex-wife's passing. He knew Malia would want the best for their daughter so he took Clementine in. It was only right because after all, she was still his daughter.
