*tap* *tap* *tap* The sound of rain hitting the car window filled Clementine's ears as did the radio that played light classical music. "We're almost there sugar-drop," whispered James as he looked at her through the rear-view mirror. Clementine rolled her eyes at the nickname. "I told you not to call me that!", she responded slightly raising her voice. James chuckled as he switched the radio station to Hip-hop. Their favorite song started to play "Lose my Breath" by Destiny's Child. James smiles as he remembers how they used to dance and sing like crazy to this song. Clementine looked out the window as she focus on the raindrops that were falling down the window. It looked like they were racing as she remembered her mother saying, "Who do you think is going to win?"

A smile spread against her lips as she recollected the memory. A hint of sadness filled her eyes at the thought that her mother was actually gone. Her smile fading into a frown as her eyes became glossy and her throat tighten. "You okay kiddo?", questioned James as he kept his eyes on her waiting for a response, and lowered the music. Those words hit her like a brick as she broke down not being able to hold back her feelings anymore. James felt guilt in his eyes as he saw his daughter cry. He sighed as his own eyes became watery, "I miss her too. But she's not completely gone you know that right?"

Clementine nodding while wiping the tears off her face. James stopped the car as he turned to look at Clem. "It's okay to show emotions sometimes. It's completely normal! You of all people should know that.", he uttered. Clementine looked out the window her face damp in wetness from her tears. "I know it's just...", she stuttered. James gave her a comforting smile as he whispered, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to kid." Clementine nodded while resting her head on the seatbelt feeling her heavy eyes starting to close. Shortly after Clementine fell asleep and James kept driving. He glanced in the mirror every once in a while to see if Clem was still asleep.
