19 - A Date Before The Show

"You guys would be so cute together" Shawn smiles widely and they pat at Zöe to agree.

"Oh! Definitely! I see it! Imagine that romance story..! A big ol celebrity, dating their roadie, who was.. plot twist.. a fan that he saved in a fire!" She exclaims in passion.

"Keep it down! You wouldn't want him to hear your dumb fantasy, eh??" Johnny snaps.

"Yeah, how did you... know that? The fire.." I shrink into my seat.

"Everyone does.. I mean, do you think Andy doesn't talk about things? The man may not smile or talk about personal shit, but he isn't a sociopath!" Zöe lightly pushes my shoulder with a smile on her face.

I look over to Andy, who's sitting alone, not a smile on his face. Instinctively I get up and walk over to him. I could hear the pitter patters of excited feet hit the floor from Zöe. Andy looks over at me and chuckles in greeting.

"Hey! What's up? Havin' fun over there?"
I sit next to him and give him a nod.

"Yeah! They are pretty great! Thank you again for this job.. I think I'll have a really great time here!" I flash a smile to see if he will return one.

He looks down at my lips then slowly back to my eyes. He looks weak in my presence and he smiles like an idiot. My idiot <3

I feel a buzzing in my pocket and I rummage my hands in them to search for the origin. I pull out my vibrating phone and notice Kaleb was calling me.

"Excuse me one second, Andy" I get up and answer the call and walk to a more secluded place on the bus.

"Hey, Y/N!"
"Hey, Kaleb. What's up?"
"I just miss you and your dumb voice. How are things going with the new job?"
"It's well! I'm kinda nervous to fuck something up that's so easy to do, though. Ya know?" I giggle
"Absolutely. I mean, I manage to fuck up making toast. I mean, who DOES that? Me, I'm who does that."
"You're still doing that? Damn, man... how's the kitty cat?"
"She's well. Why havnt you named her?"
"Okay well... how about Monkey?"
"Monkey. You know it's a cat right?"
"Yes!" I laugh.
"Well.. she's good. Misses you. How's you're little looovverrr booyyy~" he teases.
"Shut up!! He might here you!" I hush.
"Haha, well I'll let you go. Won't keep you away from your boyfriend too long. Text me when you can, let me know you're safe." Kaleb finishes off.
"He's not my- you know what? Shut it."
I hear him laugh through the phone. Then he hangs up.

I walk back to Andy and he lights up.

"Y/N! I was just thinking.. we are so close to stopping soon and I was wondering something.." Andy smiles and stands up to tower me. I gulp at his size and he slowly gets closer to me.

"What would that be..?" I ask, nervous of the outcome.

He picks up my hands into his.

"Y/N, will you go on a date with me? A-A dinner d-date that is.." He blushes and nervously giggles.

"I-.. yes! Of course!" I smile wide and hug him.

Me and Andy turn our heads to hear an exclaimed "GET IT!" Come from Shawn, only to be stopped by Zöe covering his mouth.

Andy blushes harder and looks away. I boldly caress his cheek with my hand to turn him back to look at me, giving him a smile warmer than a night in July.
