You had to work together again.
You were so focused on storyboarding that you completely missed your class. By the time you took off your headphones that day and checked the time, you saw the email from your professor and wanted to yank your hair out. You were an adult, you felt that you shouldknow how to properly manage your time, yet you worked for nearly twelve hours straight because you were so fixated on your next comic that you missed class. You collapsed onto your bed and opened the professor's email.
You groaned loudly. This project was a good chunk of your overall grade, so you had to just hope that Jaemin would be able to actuallyhelp this time.

Jaemin was curled up under his comforter, his hand reaching out in the darkness to grope his nightstand in an attempt to locate his glasses. He found them after a moment, and grabbed his phone from under his pillow.
"Oh shit," he glared at the bright screen, realizing in annoyance that he had overslept. He saw the email from your Evidence and Inference professor and opened it, pinching his cheeks in an attempt to wake himself up.
He read the email and had a weird feeling in his gut. Were those butterflies? No, he was likely just nervous- he didn't want to let you down. There was a knock at Jaemin's bedroom door, and he sat up in bed, letting out a soft, "come in."
Sungchan opened the door and instinctively flickered on Jaemin's lights, which Jaemin immediately winced at.
"Geez dude," Sungchan leaned against his friend's doorframe, crossing his arms as he did.
"My nap became much longer than I had planned," Jaemin was rubbing his eyes, his voice groggy still.
"Noted, anyways, y/n texted me," Sungchan started. "She says you guys have some project and she needs your number?"
Jaemin perked up upon hearing this. You and him had spoken occasionally after classes since that night on the roof of your family dinner, but with Jaemin being fully sober and you still being weary with his profession, you guys were then set to be acquaintances at best.
Sungchan chuckled to himself. Jaemin had always worn his heart on his sleeve, making it so obvious that he certainly had some mixed feelings for you- mostly positive, mixed with some nerves.
"I'll send her your number then," Sungchan mused, shutting his friend's door behind him.

You were eating dinner with Ireh and Swan after you texted Sungchan, and for some reason you felt yourself on edge as you waited for a response.
"Why are you fidgeting your leg?" Ireh asked, glancing under the small dining room table to confirm it was your leg shaking everyone's plate.
"Oh sorry, I didn't even realize," you forced your leg to stop, checking your phone and still being greeted by a blank screen. "How's work been?"
