We pulled up to vacant store in the BI-LO shopping center. This store was filled with hopes and dreams.I have to admit it looked pretty rough.Mama just smiled and sighed. We got out of our 2005 Saturn Vue to go take a peek.Mama pulled out the key and with one simple turn our lives changed forever. The floors were hardwood with an inch of dust covering the floor.Lucky for us the last business in here was a bakery so we already had racks to put cakes on.Also, the walls were already painted a light baby pink. Our business was to be named "Sweetery Chic". We wanted unique but based off of a classic. The sign for the front was supposed to here tomorrow.Mama and I were going to spend most of our June fixing this place up.I could tell.
After scoping it out Mama and I went to the BI-LO to get groceries, and then we headed for our new apartment in the Heritage Trace Apartment Complex. Our new home was to be 104 Wedgefield Drive.Mama said she thought that sounded fancy. We unloaded groceries and then made a 2-hour Stoffer's lasagna. Then we progressed to the living room with two beach chairs and put in our favorite movie "Little Women". Mama always has said I'm like Amy. Jo is my favorite though, I wish I had courage and passion like Jo. Finally, our lasagna is ready and done. I practically shove half the lasagna down my throat. I haven't eaten all day. Mama cleans up the kitchen while I take a shower. Then, we pump up the only bedding we have, an air mattress. We aren't extremely poor or anything we just don't want to buy stuff until the business is up and running.
