We carry in the box of cake pops and put them in the holders. One of the new employees, Alisha, comes in and starts preparing danishes in the kitchen. I start cutting up cake slices. Mama is kind of going crazy, I think she's just really nervous about the first day of the business. She's never ran a store or done anything to do with business. Mama said that this is what she thought God was calling her to do. I sure hope so, I love to bake and bake more. Plus, the eating part is fun too.
It's now 7:30 a.m.
I crank up the coffee machine and start brewing.
7:45 a.m.
Mama and I go over to the switch for our new sign outside.
We count:
"1" I hope this business works.
"2" God please help this work.
"3" A peace comes over me.
"We did it!" Mama and I squeal.
I can't get rid of the smile on my face, this is awesome.
2 hours later
We have had four customers so far!We are all very happy on our success! We haven't got an order or anything, but an order isn't expected this soon.
This is great for us, now it's time to worry about school.
