younghoon was the one i could trust the most in the gang. he had always been there, always loyal and brave. unfortunately, all the members weren't that disciplined. i was really worried about our prisoner. chanhee said that she was working in a cheap restaurant in town, but i asked him to collect more information about her. i was in my office like ninety percent of the time, dealing with some clients.
the door opened after a faint knock on it, it was chanhee, and i hoped he had found something about han chaewon.
"hi sangyeon." he said as he stepped in, walking to my desk. he had a file in his hands, i smiled at him and stood up. he may have found something.
as he gave me the file, i opened it to find one and only page, not more. i frowned and looked back at him, confused.
"that's it?" i asked as he lowered his head.
"yeah... there is nothing more about her. i only know that she was born in wonju. i haven't found anything about her schooling. no brother, nor sister. nothing." he replied and put his hands in his pockets lazily. i sighed and pressed my lips together.
i closed the file, slightly disappointed, but i guessed he couldn't do more.
"i'm gonna talk to her later on." i said and he nodded quietly to my words. "what about heo hajoon?" i breathed out deeply, staring at his face fading again.
"well... he hasn't shown up lately... and that's weird. i think they're up to something." he explained softly and i put the file on my desk as i was listening to him carefully.
i stayed silent, thinking about it. why was he on total radio silence these days? he used to make us struggle with everything we wanted to do. anyway, we had to find out quickly, otherwise they would maybe have the time to organize a plan against us.
i thanked chanhee for his work and he left without a word. after a moment, i also exited the office, walking to the elevator to go to the third floor, where chaewon was. i threw a tired glance into hyunjae's room, the door wasn't closed so i could see him lying on the bed in silence.
after a sigh, i continued to walk until i reached chaewon's door. i knocked slightly and opened it, and surprisingly, younghoon was here. he was standing in the middle of the room, playing with his knife as i walked in.
"where is she?" i questioned and closed the door, my feet led me to the black haired man, who had lifted his head up to me.
"she's showering, hyung." he answered, pointing at the bathroom door. i nodded and sat on the bed across from him.
he put his knife down and smiled at me, leaning against the wall as we both heard the sound of water pouring from the bathroom.
"did she eat something?" i asked again, this time he stared at me weirdly before slowly shaking his head positively. the wooden floor creaked under his weight when he started to walk towards the exit door.
