Chapter 8

After the vicious battle with Goro John was back to 100%. He was in his room waiting for Kitana, he informed her that he need to inform her on something critical.

John: This could go incredibly good or incredibly bad. But better to get it over with, hopefully she won't be too  pissed at me.

There was a knock at the door. Then in came Kitana.

Kitana: Jade said you wanted to see me honey.

John: Honey? Where that come from?

Kitana: Khan married me, Jade, Mileena and Scarlet off to you.

John: Really! Awesome!

Kitana: * smile * it is. Now, what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?

John: well it had to do with our earlier  discussion from yesterday. There's more and well...I uhhh...shit this is a lot harder than I thought.

Kitana see that John was struggling and afraid to tell her. She sat beside him caress his face and smiled.

Kitana: John you  don't have to feel scared to tell me something okay?

John: your right, okay here goes nothing.

So John laid it all out for Kitana, he revealed that Sindel was the one let Khan invade Edenai and killed her father.

Kitana was not prepared for that but John showed her his memory and saw it all.

Kitana: I can't believe it my own mother.

John: I was tearing myself apart debating if I should tell you. I never meant to hurt you. I love you and the girls, but if you hate me I understand.

John got up to leave Kitana alone but she pulled him back down beside her.

Kitana: it must have been difficult to tell me this. I would never hate you John nor would Jade,Mileena or Scarlet.

Kitana grabbed his face and kissed him lovingly and he returned it.

Kitana: was there anything else that you wanted to tell me?

John: actually there is. I can resurrect your mother and purge the evil in her heart. If you say no I'll cease all actions. But in the future either Shang Stung or Quan Chi will do it.

Kitana: No dought Quan Chi will resurrect my mother to trick Khan as you told us. But what does Shang Stung gain from resurrecting my mother?

John: well he didn't do it by himself, he had help from two unlikely allies.
Sindel was alive, she easily earned everyone's trust but she plotted behind your backs with Shang Stsung and Khan.

Kitana: What could they possibly gain for their betrayal?

John: the obvious, ultimate power to rule over all the relms. In the end both Khan and Sindel tripped at the finish line killed by Shang Stung. The only one left alive strong enough to stop him was Liu Kang.

Kitana: figures. Guess he stopped him but how?

John: by letting him win, he was onto Shang Tsung from the beginning. He won but at the cost of lives of his friends.

Kitana: will this same future happen again?

John: not entirely sure,the future is always changing, never set in stone.
Just by me being here could create a whole new time-line with unknown dangers.

Kitana: then we will face those dangers together.
