Chapter 1 || Final Selection

Finally, after two long years of training your ass off. You are ready to go into Final Selection! Your father had trained you for this moment. You walk up the stairs carefully, not tripping over your own feet. You make it up the stairs to see 50? No, 60? People standing there, ready to try to pass Final Selection. You look to the distance, You see a boy with a fox-like mask. You remember your father telling you that mask was from Urokodaki's kids. They never made it passed. "I hope he avoids that demon." You think to yourself.

You go into the woods, you don't see any demons yet. You walk around, still ready to attack at any second. You hear a twig snap behind you. You, without hesitation unsheathed your sword and turned back expecting a demon. Huh? It was another slayer, he looked scared, he had yellow hair. "Hey, are you ok?" You look over and lean-over a bit, he was short, maybe 5,5 or 5,6. He just started crying even more. He starts clinging to your left arm. "Umm.. I'm sorry, why are you clinging on to me?" You say in a calming voice to the scared boy. All he said was "IM GOING TO DIEEEE." Very loud. Ow, your ears hurt for a second. "Ok we'll, how about you stay by my side for the rest of Final Selection?" It seems you just brought him back to life, he nods violently. "Ok, we will run into demons, just a warning." He nods again, not as hard as before and clings to your arm once more.

After a bit, you run into a demon. It was a very weak demon, you killed it with ease. The boy still looked scared. He was hiding in a bush. "Hey, you need to fight as well ok? You WILL die if you don't have any experience." He nods again. Ok, at least your getting a response. You settle down for a bit, you're both to tired to walk for now, "Ok, I'm going to keep watch for demons, You may sleep." You said as he curls up next to the fire. He sleeps the night away, Who was this kid? Why did he join if he scared of dying so much?
