Chapter Four: All Good Things Must End
1x04:Now is Always Temporary

*Trigger warning*

Becklean was out to dinner with Justin, Erin and Voight. She kept checking her phone making sure that Malia was okay, she had left at her house by herself. Kelly said he would either send Gabby or Sylvie over to check on her but no one had answered her yet.

"And so this brother comes across the yard. He's all skeezed out on crystal or something. And he says, he says, "chicken pot pie." Like I'm supposed to know what that is, right? So my boy looks at him, points back at the block and he says, "that way." Did not matter what this cat was on. He just doubles back to where he came from lickety-split, you know what I'm saying?" Voight, Erin and Becklean look at each other from around the table.

" Hey, J, listen, I got some news. Um... I had to pull some strings, but I got you in at the CTA."

" That's where... that's where city workers send their loser relatives."

" It's a job. And it'll help you get back on your feet." Erin speaks up as Becklean nods.

"You have to take whatever you can get" she smiles at him as he places down his fork and knife.

"You know you two sound more and more like him every day, right?" the two blondes simply roll their eyes.

" You start Monday." Justin scoffs as Becklean just simply rolls her eyes, her phone pings and she gets a text from Sylvie saying Maria is fine and that they are going out for dinner.

"Okay, pop, sure."

Voight's Phone buzzes."Excuse me, I gotta take this. Hello?"

"Strange how things worked out, huh?" He looks at the two blondes as Becklean puts down her fork and knife.

" How's that?"

" When we took you two in, you guys were the problem. And now you're the golden girls, and I'm the prodigal son."
